𝕓𝕠𝕟𝕦𝕤 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣

Hi! I wanted to write a little bonus chapter so here I am, almost two years later ;). my writing's gone to shit, i know. quick flashback to when they were kids!!

Richie awoke to nimble fingers brushing over his jaw, the pads of the small digits leaving a tingling feeling on his pale skin. Soft mint breath was fanning across his lips, causing his eyes to flutter open, the darkness of the room filling his vision.

"Rich?" A gentle voice whispered, the fingers still caressing his jaw carefully.

"Eds," Richie sighed, leaning into the touch sleepily. A halfhearted smile spread across his face through the darkness, a small laugh making it's way through his pink lips as Eddie's small finger poked at his bottom lip.

"Sorry," Eddie giggled, "I can't see."

"It's okay," Richie responded softly, kissing the tip of Eddie's finger gingerly, wishing he could gaze into Eddie's eyes.

"I couldn't sleep," The other murmured, his finger tracing the outline of Richie's features, his legs still very much entangled in Richie's longer ones. The taller didn't say anything, he just leaned closer to Eddie, his lips pressing against the bridge of his nose.

"I wanna kiss you," Richie mumbled, his lips trailing down Eddie's face, placing small kisses on his nose, cheek, and chin, until he finally founded the other's mouth. Eddie giggled into the kiss, moving lazily with Richie. Their lips moved slowly together, Eddie's breath catching in his throat when Richie cupped his cheek gently, his thumb rubbing along his jaw.

"Rich~" Eddie whispered, pulling away. He couldn't see the boy, but he could make the assumption that his lips were now curled into a sarcastic pout.

"It's just us," Richie reminded him softly, leaning forward again. Eddie kissed back, his hand finding it's way to the soft curls that resided atop his best friend's head. He ran his fingers through the ringlets, his nose brushing against Richie's as he moved his head to the side.

"Just us?" Eddie repeated against his lips, his cheeks hot.

"Us," Richie nodded, breaking away to press their foreheads together. Richie's curls tickled his face but he didn't care, all he wanted was to get lost in Richie's arms.

"The nights belong to us," Richie whispered, his hand sliding down to rest on Eddie's hips. And it was true, the boy's would find themselves in each other's arms as soon as the clock hit one, when the entire town was asleep. It was their time, when the stars came out and the moon shone through the window. Protected by the thick layer of night, no one could harm them. When the morning sun breaks through the curtains, they would break apart as always. Richie would climb out of Eddie's window and see him later at school, pretending as if they hadn't spent the entire night in each other's grasp.

But right now, it was their time. Their time to be with each other, to be the person they are truly.

"We have two hours until sunset," Eddie murmured, his heart dropping at the realization.

"Enjoy the time we have, Eds," He replied gently, although his heart seemed to sink too, at the realization that he wouldn't be able to hold Eddie for another twelve hours once the stars disappeared.

"I wish it was already tomorrow night," Eddie said quietly, nuzzling into Richie's warm chest.

"Me too, love," Richie sighed, holding the boy close to him, his hand running up and down his spine in an attempt to comfort him. His touch sent shivers down Eddie's spine, and butterflies in his stomach.

"I love you," Eddie mumbled, pressing a kiss against Richie's bare chest, right over his heart.

"I love you more," Richie shivered under Eddie's lips, his heart speeding up.

"That's not true," Eddie giggled into his chest, shaking his head softly.

"It is too."

"No it's not," Eddie whispered, his voice growing quiet as his eyelids drooped and his eyelashes fanned across his freckled cheeks.

"It is," Richie murmured back, he too, being ushered into a gentle sleep.

Both boys fell asleep after those words, getting lost in the warm embrace of the other.

And for the next two hours, they were happy.
