"I'm going to need you to stop resisting!" The police officer scolded, as Eddie cried and whimpered against his grip.

"Don't touch him," Eddie sobbed out, trying to claw his way to Richie, who was shaking while being pinned down by another officer.

"He needs me," Eddie yelled as he was dragged out of the house and onto the porch.

"We aren't going to hurt you, we're going to get you help, you're safe now," The police officer whispered to Eddie.

Eddie shook his head, continuing to beg them to let him go to Richie. "He needs me," Eddie repeated, tears seeping down his tan cheeks.

"He's dangerous, he's being taken into custody," The officer shook his head.

"He's not dangerous! He's scared, he needs me," Eddie whimpered as he was pressed up against the wall to stop him from moving.

"Eds," He heard a voice yelp from inside the house.

"Chee," Eddie screamed, kicking and flailing against the strong arms of the officer.

Eddie watched in horror as Richie was taken out of the house harshly and forced into a cop car. Eddie bit his lip and attempted to cry out or him again. Richie turned before he was locked in the car to make eye contact with Eddie. His sad, dark eyes pleaded Eddie to stay put. He begged Eddie silently to stay calm and go somewhere safe. Eddie ignored his stare and continued crying and whimpering, the image of Richie being vulnerable and alone in prison overwhelming him. Richie needed him, he needed to protect Richie. "Please don't take him, it was self defense," Eddie turned to the officer despite his handcuffs and looked up at him.

"You'll get a testimony, kid, just wait until court," The man shrugged.

"He can't be by himself," Eddie shook his head, the tears still very evident on his face and in his eyes.

"He gets one phone call, and he's not old enough to go to jail, so he won't be alone."

"Please just let me be with him," Eddie pleaded as the officer took off his hand cuffs.

"No can do."

"I'm so sorry, Eddie," Mike said softly, rubbing his back gently in the waiting room of the police station.

Eddie had decided to call Mike, instead of Bev, Bill, Stan, or Ben, because Mike was the most understanding and calming of the group. Mike had come right away, meeting Eddie where he had requested.

"He needs me," Eddie buried his face in his hands.

Mike frowned, "Yes, I know. He loves you so much, meaning he'll do everything he can to get back to you," Mike assured.

Eddie sniffled and nodded, sighing in exhaustion. "Edward Kaspbrak, your interview is ready," The receptionist called out, causing Eddie to stand and say a quick goodbye to Mike.

Eddie was led into a room lit by a single lamp with a table, that had a chair on each side. He was sat on one side while a female officer sat on the opposite side. "Alright, Edward, is it?" She spoke, her voice deep and intimidating.

"Just Eddie," He answered, fiddling with his fingers.

"Alright, Eddie, how are you related to Richie Tozier?"

"He's my best friend."

He's my whole world.

"How long have you known Richie Tozier?"
