A/N: Hey guys, did ya miss me? Well, I'm back with A Howl To The Moon and I'm going to be publishing every other day and sometimes (maybe) days in a row since I'm on winter break now! I know I said in my last announcement I'd do something during fall break but I only had 3 days off for it. Thank you to those who have been this patient with me and I hope you enjoy reading this chapter and the many more to come of AHTTM (A Howl To The Moon abbreviated cuz I'm lazy;3).

My dad? A wolf? Respected throughout the continent? How in the skies is that even possible? I wonder about that for the next few hours that the moles give us to spend alone and Luna walks over and sits down on the sand just before the water reaches her.

"Hey, how're you feeling?" she asks and I shrug.

To put it lightly I guess I feel like my life has been a lie and maybe I should be still on the alleys of Starhaven. Being chased by Metal, his gang, all the police, and that one angry butcher that waves around an old-fashioned metal butcher knife while screaming at me.

"Good I guess," I lie and I sound pretty honest.

"Still thinking about your dad huh?" she asks again and I nod, keeping my snout low and in my neck fur.

"I just didn't know he was so...well known. I would've thought he'd be more shunned and cast out than me since he's a full wolf," I sigh and rest my head down in my paws to look up at the night sky.

"None of us did. And to be honest, I pretty much worshipped him even after his mysterious disappearance," Luna says and plays around with the sand in front of her.

"Yeah well...it's not like I got to spend very much time with him anyway. After all, he kinda abandoned me," I mutter and we spend the next few minutes in complete silence.

Kinda makes you wonder what the hells am I even doing here? Well, I'll tell you. I have absolutely no idea. I just feel like that there are some answers in that year that I don't remember. It's cliche as hell but hey; What's something like this journey that's already cliche not without even more cliche stuff?

I am tempted to try and enter the dreamscape that my father apparently likes to talk to me in and I'm still confused how he does it, but when I found out he was a wolf that everyone in Cerenia worshipped even though he had no magic my opinions "kinda" changed.

But before I manage to doze off we hear the loud calls of a humpback whale which swims to the shore Luna and I were at and stops.

"Guess our ride's here," I say and I look back to see Skylar flying over and landing on my head.

"Well...off to the Beyond then," she says simply and I nod.

It's still kinda surreal to me that the fact that a street wolfdog got here, can see a mystical and magical sparkly space dust trail that leads to my friend, jumping on a whale, and going into the Beyond. Yeah...kinda makes you dizzy and confused.

Once we get on the large whale it immediately lurched forward and swam much faster than I ever could across the surface of the water. I nearly lose my footing but I regain it after being shot with water from the blowhole and getting laughs from the others.

I moan in irritation but I just fall asleep hoping to get some answers while we cruised across the ocean in search of evil like the Princess Andromeda in Percy Jackson or something. Also don't even ask how I know about Percy. I can dig up books from 50 years ago because I want to.

Unsurprisingly I'm back at the snowy and blizzarding mountaintop with my father watching me with a tilt in his head.

"Hello there White Wolf of Cerenia. Care to enlighten?" I ask sarcastically.

"So you found out...yes I did do some things in life but only because I wanted to. I knew no one was going to accept me but so what? That doesn't take away my ability to do selfless things because I can't stop myself," he barks in laughter and he manages to make me crack a smirk.

"Now I know where I get the sarcasm from. Alright, let's 'talk' shall we? Just a small father-son conversation that no one can interrupt while we are cruising across the sea on a whale," I say and he nods before starting to explain most of it.

I learned a lot but still, I'm left in mystery about that one single year of my life. My time runs out though and I have to wake up to see that we've reached another beach where the path continues.

Skylar, Luna, and I jump off and thank the whale before sprinting through the jungles that stood behind the beach and let's just say we get even more confused as we stood in front of ourselves except it looks like we sustained a few wounds and we were bleeding just a bit.

Man, this trip is just a large bundle of confusion, isn't it? I swear how many times have I said confused or any form of the word? Anyway, it's clear to me that they're not hostile but I see that Skylar is missing her satchel and then our other selves sprint away and back into the jungle.

Before we can move along I hear Skylar yelp and I whip my head back to face her and to see that she no longer had her satchel.

"What happened?!" Luna asks hurriedly.

"I don't know! It just felt like an invisible hand snatched it away!" she replies and I'm left trying to figure out this mess.
