Travis' POV

"Travis! I want to play in the park!" she whined like a kid.  We came to a nearby park after a hectic day at the school. Since she had a day off from her work, we thought we could spend some time with each other.

"Seriously? what are you, five?"

"Yes! I'm your five year old baby and you're my sixty year old grumpy daddy". She plopped herself on the seat and I sat next to her.

"Daddy is the keyword there". I winked at her.

"Now stop being flirty here! I'm serious!"

"Visit a hospital". I said casually.

She stared at me as if she saw a physics problem and I swear to god, she looked so cute and innocent but the reaction was so damn funny that I laughed so hard.

"You know what, I'm leaving!". She got up and started to leave.

"Okay, wait! Alexandra! It was for fun! c'mon!" I came in front of her and blocked her way.

"Do you even realize how cute you look when you're angry?" I hugged her and cooed.

"Not funny".

"Fine! what do you wanna play?". She pushed me off and smiled so brightly literally like a five year old kid who just received a lollipop.

"The swing!"

"Okay!". With that she ran....

"Alexandra!". I yelled after her.

"Travis!". Sasha called out my name.

"Huh?". I opened my eyes suddenly.

"Come back to earth. We reached at my granny's. Do you wanna visit your parents?". She asked.

I got down from her car and pulled out my luggage from the boot. Andrew was standing with Janet a few meters away from us. I was doing my best at being oblivious to the animosity but who was I kidding?! Nothing will be back to te way it was..... along with her, so our friendship died....

"I'll visit them tomorrow." I replied to her.

"Sounds lovely!" She chimed. "Now let's get you all inside, the sun is picking up".

I picked up my luggage from the trunk head towards Sasha's granny's home which hasn't changed a bit. Sasha knocked on the door. A min later it opened to reveal a young lady which I assumed to be the maid. We walked inside along with our luggage.... Andrew, Jane and Sasha were ahead of me while Ben closed the door behind me.

Suddenly an old lady appeared and she was none other than Mrs. Rose.
Seeing her after a year felt like seeing her after a millennium. She was dressed like a sophisticated woman like she always does and hasn't changed much over a year.

"It's so good see you all again!". She got emotional... "Andrew!" She went and hugged him and he warmly returned. Jane went to her and hugged her, too. Next was my turn, and I didn't know how to react....

"Hello, Mrs. Rose". I said timidly extending my hands for a hand shake. She looked at it first, but didn't consider it so I took it back. But to my astonishment, she pulled me in for a hug.

"I'm so happy to see you again, Travis". I felt her eyes well up and I hugged her to sooth her.

And across me was Her standing and looking at me with tears in her eyes....

"Thank You." She said.

And I smiled feeling home and at peace for the first time in like forever.
