{~~Chapter 19~~}
Gia woke up feeling rejuvenated and happy. Alek's arms were wrapped around her and she relished the warmth radiating off of his body. Fall was coming to an end and winter was right around the corner. Winter was Gia's favorite season. Everything seemed to be more at peace in the winter. It was also very beautiful how the snow glitters like a thousand tiny diamonds in the sunlight. Alek stirred beside her and his lips pressed against her forehead. "Good morning, beautiful." He murmured sleepily, his voice hoarse. She smiled lightly and placed her hand on his chest. "Good morning," she replied softly. She could feel his eyes looking down at her. "Did you sleep well?" He asked and she nodded. "Yeah, I didn't have any nightmares and I feel a lot better than I have been." She said and he hummed in response, busy pressing gentle kisses on her neck. His lips stopped at his mark and he ran his fingers over it, sending shocks through her whole body. "It's so beautiful, but not as beautiful as you. If anything, it makes you even more so if that's possible." He said softly and she smiled lightly at him. His eyes shone with happiness and love. Love so intense she thought it was all a dream. Love so intense she thought it would make him burst from the seams.
She heard a groan from the other side of the room and looked over Alek's broad shoulder to see Azael with a pillow over his head. "Stop it with the mushy gushy stuff. I'm very aware that you both love each other." He grumbled and Alek smirked deviously. "Are you feeling lonely over there? We could always get Cali to come out here." He teased and Azael huffed, getting up. He threw the pillow at Alek, throwing it a little too hard, but not enough to hurt him. They both laughed as he stormed out of the room. It felt so good to be able to be happy again. Gia buried her face in his chest and he pressed kisses down her neck. He nipped his mark gently and it sent a fierce pleasure through her entire body. She bit her lip to stop herself from moaning. Alek flipped her onto her back, pressing open-mouthed kisses on her jaw, neck, and collarbone. She wrapped her legs around his waist and buried her fingers in his gold hair. His hands fisted the sheets and he scraped his elongated canines on her neck, a moan slipping past her lips. He growled lowly when she arched into him and the sound made her shiver. He chuckled and kissed his mark before pulling away to lock eyes with her. He kissed her forehead and she closed her eyes. "As much as I want to right now, we can't. I don't want to destroy the bed we need to sleep in, and I don't think Ariane and your brother would enjoy listening to you screaming as much as I would." He growled lowly and she blushed, giggling. He kissed her nose and got up. She saw a suitcase beside hers and knew it was Alek's. He grabbed clothes and started to strip down in front of her. She couldn't help looking at his defined abs and v-line.
He smirked when he saw her openly checking him out, his emerald eyes shining with mischief. "Do I need to contact Diana? You look as if you've seen my irresistible body." He teased and she blinked, blushing. "I have seen your irresistible body," she replied and grabbed her own clothes. She hesitantly started stripping and Alek froze, looking over her. "Giana, you are going to be the death of me." He groaned and she could see his obvious erection. She gasped when he pulled her against him, sending sparks and tingles through her whole body. He ran his hands up and down her side and captured her lips in a heated kiss. He pulled her closer, his member pressing against her stomach. They broke apart when the door opened. Ariane rolled her eyes, closing the door again, mumbling under her breath. "Been away from each other for three days and they're all over each other." Alek chuckled and Gia blushed, looking down. "We aren't all over each other." She whined and he slid his hands underneath her thighs, picking her up and wrapping her legs around his waist. He pressed her against the wall and his member rubbed against her core. She tilted her head back, moaning. His lips pressed against her neck. "It looks like we are to me," he growled lowly. Gia laughed softly and he pulled away, smiling lightly. He let her back on the floor and they got dressed.
They entered the kitchen, hand in hand, with easy smiles on their faces. Ariane was talking with Azael and they both looked up when the couple walked in. "You two look rested." Ariane pointed out. They both nodded. Gia looked at her brother and noticed how dark his veins were and his eyes were darker than normal. "Azael, you need to feed." She said and he shook his head. He lifted up his fork with eggs on it. "I'm trying to avoid that kind of eating. It doesn't help when you remind me of it." He grumbled and Ariane snorted. "Lets see how far that gets you." She said doubtfully. Azael glared at her and took a bite. His nose scrunched up and he swallowed hard, clutching his throat. "What the hell," he mumbled under his breath. Ariane put a glass of blood in front of him and he jumped back against the wall, moving faster than Gia has ever seen anything move. His movements was a blur. His fangs dented his bottom lip as he clenched his teeth. "Ariane, I can't. What's going to happen when I go back to the Burns Guard? They won't let me hunt." He hissed and his veins darkened even more. Gia went to comfort him, but Alek pulled her back against him. "He won't be able to control himself. He'll drain you of every drop of golden blood in your little body." He whispered in her ear. She looked up at him. "I am the definition of impossible. Let me do what I do best." She said softly and he sighed, reluctantly letting her go. She slowly walked over to her brother and he shook his head, his eyes pitch black. "No, Gia. Don't, I don't want to hurt you." He hissed and she shook her head, gently putting her hand on his, making him flinch. She locked eyes with him, feeling warmth flow through her. "Just trust me," she responded. She let the warmth flow from her hand and fingers, into her brother.
He gasped and his body relaxed, his eyes going back to the dark red with slitted pupils. "How'd you do that?" He asked quietly and she shrugged. "I don't know. All I know is that I can calm somebody at will." She said and Alek wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, pulling her against him. She smiled lightly and looked down, twining their fingers together. He buried his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her sweet scent. "It's amazing, Gia." He said softly and she laughed gently. Azael went back to eating his food, choking down the human food with great force. Ariane slipped on boots and a leather jacket. "I'm going hunting. Azael, you are free to join me." She said, looking at him with her silver eyes. He had finished his plate and his stomach suddenly lurched. He ran into the bathroom, throwing up everything he just ate. Ariane had her arms crossed over her chest and a smirk on her lips when he came back into the kitchen. He glanced at Alek and Gia, sighing. "I'll go with you," he said to Ariane and they left the house in a blur. Alek kissed her cheek and she pulled away, keeping their fingers locked together. "Come on, let's go train while they're out." She said, a smile on her face. Alek smirked and followed her down to the training room. It was very similar to the one at the Burns Guard.
He grabbed a glass daemon blade and she grabbed a black one. She turned on the robotic opponents, flipping the switch onto the highest level. She had an excited smile on her face, determination shining in her gold eyes. Alek looked up just in time to see a robot swing its blade at him, easily blocking its move. They kept coming at both of them. Alek noticed that Gia had grown faster and stronger in the last week. One opponent swung for her knees and she jumped, flipping, and landing on its metal shoulders, driving her blade into it's back. He saw the blue electricity surging down her blade and in her eyes. The robot sparked and fell, Gia flipping and landing in a crouch. She shot up and swung her blade with such ferocity it was just a black blur. She quickly grabbed a handful of throwing knives, throwing them at the last few opponents. She never missed, hitting them all in the head. Alek felt an opponent come to his side and spun around, driving his blade into the robots chest. It sparked once and fell. Gia finished off the last one and looked up at him. They both threw their daemon blades on the floor and Alek pulled her against him, crushing his lips against hers. She buried her fingers in his fair hair, pulling his face closer to hers. He pressed her against the wall, their tongues battling for dominance. Alek won and Gia moaned softly.
He slid his hand down her side and grabbed her thigh, hitching her leg onto his hip. His body ground against hers and she melted into his hard body. His fingers dug into her thigh, groaning into her mouth and gently bringing his teeth down on her bottom lip. "Sorry to disrupt the passionate moment. Oh, wait, no I'm not." They both froze when they heard a familiar voice speak from across the room. They broke apart and Gia felt something stab into the side of her neck, grunting. Dizziness soon followed and Alek held onto her. He felt something stab into his shoulder and they both fell, sleep overtaking them both.
