{~~Chapter 20~~}
Alek gasped and opened his eyes. The room he was in was completely dark and the floor was made of stone. He struggled to sit up, hissing through his teeth when a fierce burning was felt on his wrists. He felt his inner wolf press closer to the surface, giving him the ability to see in the dark better. He looked behind him and saw that his wrists were shackled with silver, the chains disappearing into the wall. He growled and sat back against the wall, feeling pain through his entire body. He remembered what happened and started to panic. Where was Gia? His eyes scanned over the room and saw a small body laying on a cot on the other side of the room. His heart raced as he smelled blood and his mate's scent mixed together. "Gia, are you okay?" He asked and she groaned, sitting up. Her head pounded and she was still lightheaded. "Yeah, are you?" He sighed in relief when she answered him. "I'm fine," he replied and she sighed in relief, also. Gia went to sit up, but her wrists were shackled to the bed she was laying in. She pulled on them and groaned in irritation. "Alek, where are we?" She asked and he looked around the room. "From the looks of it, a basement. I'm not sure where we are, but I know it's not Ariane's basement." He said and she blinked her eyes, only seeing darkness. "How can you see?" He smirked lightly. "Werewolf vision. It comes in handy." He replied and she sighed, laying back down on the bed.
They sat in silence, trying to figure out what was going on. Gia remembered Alek and her in the training room, kissing, then she remembered Eric coming through a black portal and shooting her with a tranquilizer of some type. A door opened and light poured into the room, making her flinch and blink her eyes repeatedly. A dark figure stood in the doorway and more light burned her eyes as he seemed to open a window and turned on the lights. Eric closed the door behind him and walked into the middle of the room. "It's so good to see you two again." He said, smiling maliciously. Gia's eyes changed and she glared hatefully at him. His eyes landed on her. "Actually, I've only missed my dear Giana. My, have you grown stronger." He said, striding over to beside the cot. "You did gave me quite a scare the last time we met. I didn't think my angel could be so strong." He said. Gia clenched her jaw, jerking on the chains and glaring at him. "I am not your angel, Eric. You have no idea what I am capable of." She hissed dangerously and he laughed softly, running his knuckles over her cheek. She jerked away from his touch and heard Alek growl viciously from across the room. "You stay away from her!" He roared and Eric looked over at him with a spark of amusement in his dark eyes. "I don't think I will. Try and stop me, wolfy." Eric hissed.
Gia shuddered in disgust when he crawled on top of her, running his hands over her body. She heard Alek pulling on his chains and growling and snarling ferociously. He suddenly howled in agony, Eric making him feel pain throughout his body. Gia felt tears prick her eyes, but didn't let them fall. She slowly grabbed the chains, forcing herself to kiss Eric's neck. He shivered, his eyes rolling into his head. Pain lurched at her heart and Alek's mark throbbed painfully. She felt sick. She pulled on the chains with everything she had. She heard them creak and as soon as they snapped, she wrapped her hands around Eric's throat, pinning him to the bed. She felt his neck snap under her death grip and he made a choked sound. She leaned down into his face, watching his dark eyes fill with shock and terror. She felt searing pain in her back, but ignored it. Gia felt her eyes burn more than usual. She got into his face, growling lowly. "I will never be yours. You made a huge mistake with capturing me. I am more powerful than you could ever imagine." She hissed and squeezed his neck even more, breaking his neck easily. She grabbed a dagger that was in his weapons belt, pressing the blade against his throat and cutting it open. She jumped off of him and drove the dagger into his heart, twisting it. "Quod absit, diabolica." She hissed in Latin. She turned around and saw Alek staring at her with wide, fire red eyes. His slitted pupils were almost paper thin and his face was white.
