Nothing really exciting ever happened in the small coffee shop Virgil worked in. It was always really boring and apart from the times when there was a show in the theatre near by, it was not really crowded.

It was the 20th of Dicembre and Virgil was working the late shift. In the past few days the shop had been packed thanks to the play that the theatre was hosting just next door, sending hungry consumers and actors their way.

He didn't particularly like that many people around him, but he needed the money; plus the work was a sort of distraction which helped with his anxiety.

When the bell above the door ringed for the thousand time that night he scoffed slightly, looking up to see who was the person coming in essentially when they were about to close. That's when he met the eyes of a tall, brown haired man with a smile that could light the whole room up. He blushed before he noticed the way he was dressed, his eyes widening in surprise.

The stranger was wearing a Nutcracker costume and the weird thing was that it suited him actually pretty well, with that red and gold jacket hugging his body perfectly.

"Hello!" He said cheerily approaching the counter, Virgil's confused stare passing unnoticed.

"I'd like an extra large salted caramel coffe mocha with two pumps of vanilla, four pumps of hazelnut and extra whipped cream, please!" After regaining his composure, the worker quickly wrote down his order, sending it in and forgetting to ask for a name.

Realizing his mistake just as the coffe got to his hands and seeing the guy waiting at a table near the window he simply wrote 'Nutcracker guy' on the side of the cup and set it on the counter.

"Hey! Your drink's ready!" He said from across the room, and waited for the man to get to him and pay him. the guy chuckled seeing what was written on the cup, making slightly blush Virgil who mule out: "Sorry, I forgot to ask for your name."

"I'm Roman," he said giggling again, "just so you know next time." And with a little wink he was out of the shop, his hot coffe in hand and his shoulders upright, just like a prince.

Virgil shook his head and went back to cleaning the counter, wondering if he'll ever see the guy again, and if so, if he'll be wearing normal clothes.

The next day, true to his words, Roman came in again at the same time, still wearing the same costume as the day before. He approached the counter, smiling brightly and ordering a salted caramel mocha.

"Just so you remember, the name's Roman." He said smiling flirtatiously and going to sit to a table.

Virgil could feel the heat raising to his cheeks as he glared towards the nutcracker guy. He didn't like blushing and this guy seemed to be really good at making him.

When he once again got the drink between his hands he decided to have some fun. Taking the black marker he wrote "Romano Nutcracker" on the side of the cup, adding a small smiley face, and putting it on the counter and calling out for the actor.

Roman went up to the counter, paying for his drink, his flirty smile never leaving his lips, until he read what was written on the cup.

A small smile escaped his lips. He liked this guy.

"Really? Roman Nutcracker?" Virgil just nodded, a small proud smile dancing on his lips. He didn't know why, but he was starting to find a little interest in the weirdly dressed guy.

"How creative. Well, I'll see you tomorrow, maybe then you can get my name right." He chuckled and left with a small wing and a swing of his hips.

Virgil shook his head, chuckling slightly and weirdly excited for his next day of work.
