<Veronica x Fem!reader> «Mistletoe»

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

I was going over to Veronica's, my girlfriend, house for Christmas today. I was nervous for many reasons. What if her family didn't like me? What if they didn't except us being together? What if they were homophobic? What if they hated me? I constantly thought. It was bad, but Ver always told me it was going to be okay. I hope she's right.

"Come babe! They'll love you! Especially Lance, you to would get along perfectly!" Veronica exclaims.

"Are you sure?" I ask looking at her. Ver took my hands in hers and kissed me.

"I'm 100% sure," she said calmly and with that we went in her house.

"Veronica!" A tall man shouted.

"Lance!" Ver shouted back and they hugged.

"Who's this beautiful lady?" The one I assume is Lance asked.

"My girlfriend, now back off," Ver said eyeing him.

"I'm (Y/n), nice to meet you!" I said cheerfully.

"I'm Lance, and don't worry I wouldn't try to sweep you off your feet, because you see I have my one boyfriend," Lance said.

"Really now? What's his name and is he here?" Ver asked.

"Names Keith, here I am," said a man with black hair and a red jacket.

"He seems cute enough, now Lance go stand next to him for a minute," I said looking at him. Lance walked over and kissed Keith.

"Can you do any better?" Lance teased his sister.

"Way better," the Latino female replied and walked over to her girlfriend.

"Oh no," was all I said before getting kissed. It was passionate but competitive.

"They were pretty good," Lance said to his boyfriend. This lead to a very competitive night between brother and sister.

|Time skip|Lance and Veronica are arguing and you and Keith are talking outside

"I didn't think this would happen," I said looking down.

"Neither did I, I honestly thought his family would hate me," Keith said chuckling. I giggled.

"That's funny I did to, I wish Ver would stop this competition and just hang out with me. I don't want to be some person that was dragged in. I want to be someone special to be with and meant to be there for company, not this" I said still looking down.

"I get you, Lance does this a lot though so I've learned to live with it," Keith said looking up at the sky. I lifted my head up to look at him.

"Have you ever told him how you felt when he does that?" I asked the boy.

"No," he replied.

"Well, I know it not my place but you should, it could help in the long run," I said smiling.

"Those are some beautiful words of wisdom," he said smiling back at me. Next thing I know I'm tackled.

"Ahhhhhhh!" I shout.

"I need your help with something!" Veronica yelled.

"Okay, what is it?" I asked.

"Just come with me!" She exclaimed and dragged me inside.

"Okay what now?" I asked as we stopped. She pointed up. I looked up and there was a mistletoe.

"I just wanted to thank you for coming, and I'm sorry about this whole thing between me and Lance. It's just a sibling thing-" I cut her off with a kiss. She kissed back and this time it was passion and love.

"You heard me and Keith didn't you?" I asked smiling at this beautiful women before me.

"Maybe~," she said looking away.

"How lucky am I to have you?" I asked grabbing her face.

"I think that question should be the other way around," she giggled. I hugged her and she hugged me back.

"God I love you so much," I said in the hug.

"I love you to," she said back. Then we hear a whole lot of 'awww's. We all laughed and sat by a fire outside singing Christmas songs. The next year at Christmas me and Keith talked again, he told me that him and Lance were doing better and talking more about how they feel when the other does something. They've grown closer just like me and Veronica. Life has a funny way of doing things. Tonight is the night I'm proposing to Veronica, in front of her whole family.

"Hey Ver! I need you over her a sec!" I called out to my beautiful girlfriend of five years. She came over.

"What's up?" She asked and I smirked.

"A mistletoe," I replied. She looked up and when she looked back down I was on one knee.

"(Y-y/n)," she whispered.

"Veronica, you make me so happy. I know we have our fights and those times where we need to give each other a little space but we always come back together. I never knew how much I needed you until I realized that someone way better than me could come and take you away. Veronica you mean so much to me and the only way I know i will never lose you, is if I ask this question. Veronica McClain, will you make me the happiest women alive and marry me?" I asked, there were tears in both our eyes.

"Yes, yes, yes! A thousand times yes!" She yelled and I put the ring on her finger. We kissed under the mistletoe while everyone cheered.
