5. first year

Jessie POV
I was flying around the quidditch pitch the next day while reading one of my new books. When I heard someone yell oi,jessie shouldn't you be making yourself ready for the sorting ceremony, you don't wanna come late to your own sorting. I looked down seeing Hagrid. I waved and was distracted. Not noticing where I was going, I flew away from the quidditch pitch right into the whomping willow. I let go of my broom and clapped out my wings flying away from the tree not realising that hagrid was still watching and didn't know that I am an angel. I landed next to Hagrid and tried to think of a way around. Eventually I said let's go to Dumbledore he'll explain. We went to Dumbledore  I told him what happened and he explained the story to Hagrid. That is quite a story said Hagrid. Don't tell anyone Hagrid please? I asked him and he promised.

Later that day I sat in my room all dressed for the ceremony. I was reading a guide for transfiguration and playing with my elemental powers changing the colour of the fire and drinking water by floating water bubbles into my mouth. I looked at the klok and saw that it was late, o no not again. I ran  down the stairs and was just in time to slip into the closing doors of the great hall. I got a stern look from Mcgonagall who noticed me sneaking through the doors. She continued and called out names. BLACK,JESSICA Mcgonagall said. I walked to the hat and sat down Mcgonagall put the hat on my head and it fell over my eyes. It started talking to me: ah Jessica black your a lot like your parents brave, smart and a talent for getting in to trouble. I think raven... no it has to be GRYFFINDOR, he shouted that last bit so the whole hall could hear it. The hat was taken of my head and I walked towards the Gryffindor table smiling. I laughed at fred and George who were singing WE GOT THE HOGWARTS INHABITANT. I sat down next to them and waited until the ceremony was over. When it was over Dumbledore said something about the forest and then the food appeared in front of us. I ate and chatted to fred and George telling about flying into the whomping willow without the part of me being an angel. When the desert came up I immediately went for my favourite things. After Dumbledore's speech I wanted to go with fred and George to the common room but the prefect said your a first year go with me. I answered don't worry I know the way and the fat lady always let's me in the common room without a password. I ran after fred and George and we went up the stairs and to the fat lady she said password first but then saw it was me and said 'oh its you come in' we entered and I ran up the stairs to check with who I was sleeping. After that I walked to fred and George's room they shared their room with Lee Jordan and we started planning a start of year prank.

In the next week I starded all my classes my best subjects were transfiguration and potions. All my potions were right at first try this pissed of Snape because he hates me, but has no reason to take points. My least favourite subject is history of magic but all my Mark's were high the year went by fast apart from pranking a lot nothing special happened. Slytherin won the house and quidditch cup. When the summer started I was alone in the school again but I knew that next year Harry Potter was coming to Hogwarts. I remember him from when I was little. I used to have sleepovers at the Potter house. I couldn't wait to see my sort of nephew again.
