A Reunion

"No fucking way!" I run to the masked figure and hug him super tight, laughing.

"It's been so long! What brings you here?" I look at his face and smile.

"I had to move. Mom passed and-"

"Wait", He lets go of me. "Your mom died? How? When?"

"About a month ago. I'm staying here with my aunt."

"Are you okay Y/N?" I embrace him again.

"Not really, but I'm better." He hugs me tighter.

"Good."

I let go and face Ash, her face full of disbelief. I giggle and put my arm around Sal's back. "Sorry for that, it's just that Sal and I go waaaaay back."

"Ten years, right?"

"Oh my god, yeah! Wow, it's been a while."

Finally, Ash regained her voice. "So, you knew Sal before his accident?"

"Unfortunately, no. But he knew me before my accident. We met at his mom's funeral, since my mom and his were coworkers in the same job. I was afraid of him for a while."

"And I was too sad to really pay attention to her." I look at Sal.

"But after a few years and especially after my accident, we grew so much closer."

"Wow, that's incredible! I guess I don't need to introduce him to you huh Y/N?"

"Haha, I guess not." We all laugh. The bell rang signaling the end of school. "Hey, you guys wanna come over? I'm sure my aunt won't mind."

"Sure, Ash?" Ash looks at Sal.

"O-Of course!"

"Great! Let's go." The three of us start walking to my house, talking and laughing along the way.

[Larry's POV]

Man, that test took a while. Good thing Todd helped me study though. As I walk to my locker, I see Y/N and Ash talking. Wow, she makes friends quickly huh? As I start to approach them, I see Sal walking up to them. I can't really hear what they're saying but Ash looks excited while Y/N turns. Before I know it, Y/N is running up to Sal and embracing him, almost making him topple over. I stop in my tracks. Wait, she knows Sal? Weird, I wonder why he hasn't mentioned her.

"Sorry for that, it's just that Sal and I go waaaaay back."

"Ten years, right?"

"Oh my god, yeah! Wow, it's been a while." Wait. They've known each other for ten years?! Now I really need to talk to Sal about Y/N. I hear the door open and close behind me, but I don't turn around. In my peripheral vision, I see orange hair so it must be Todd.

"Hey, what's- wait, isn't that the new girl?"

"Yup. And apparently, her and Sal have known each other for ten years!"

"Holy smokes. Wonder why he never mentioned her."

"Exactly what I said!" I start to walk closer until the bell rings. I then hear Y/N speak.

"Hey, you guys wanna come over? I'm sure my aunt won't mind."

"Sure, Ash?" Ash looks at Sal.

"O-Of course!"

"Great! Let's go." As they walk towards the door talking and laughing. I grab Todd's arm and walk behind them, anger on my face.
