A Cranky Morning

Dear Diary 1997,

Today is the day my uterus thinks I'm having a baby. When I refuse, I get a 'bleeding v' instead. FOR 7 DAYS! Ugh, how much I hate periods, and I'm probably the most cranky. Before Aunt Carol left for work, she left a note saying that there was extra food (specifically junk) in the fridge and pantry. She also told me to take it easy for today, which I'm totally okay with. It's Saturday after all. I just hope no one comes over. Aaaaaand a cramp comes along! I'm taking a nap.

I close my journal and put it away. I don't bother with my mask today. I get up and turn off the lights and close the blinds. This is the only time I'm getting up, unless I'm hungry or need to pee/change. After finally getting comfortable, I close my eyes and sleep.

{Sal's POV}

"I still can't believe you did that to Y/N, Larry." I look up at him. I'm over at his place, chilling and listening to Sanity Falls on low volume. He sighs, looking up at me.

"Dude, you're still on that after a year? I told you that I was sorry AND that I would never to it again!" I chuckle a little and hold up two finger, moving them back and forth.

"I know, but I'm still watching you!" We both laugh. "It's just... she's been through a lot already and-"

"Do you like her, Sal?" My face turns red instantly, something that Larry can in fact see. I grab my mask and hide behind it.

"What?! NO. I consider her like a younger sister, okay!?" Larry laughs some more, then sighs.

"Alright, just checking. Y'know, when we were talking that day, just the two of us, she mentioned that she considered you as an older brother. So, no worries man! I just wanted to see your face!" I put my mask down and laugh.

"Well, you got me. Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to her house. Today IS her birthday after-"

"WHAT?!" Larry stands. "Why didn't you tell me that earlier?! Now, I don't have time to get her a gift and make a surprise party and-" Larry was interrupted by my laughing. "What's so funny?"

"Nothing man, just, are you sure YOU'RE not the one that likes Y/N" He blushes instantly. I take that as a-

"NO! No, I don't! She's-She's a friend, M-MY BESt friend! I-" At this point, he's a sweating and stuttering mess. But, yeah, he totally likes her.

"Alright, alright man I believe you!" That was a straight up lie, but I couldn't argue about this to him. I mean, he did the exact same thing when he asked me about Ash.

"Yeah... just, friends... are you ready to go now?" He asked, calming down a little. I nod and get up from his bed, both of us walking out of his room.

{time skip!}

"You still have that spare key?" Larry looks at me while we walk. Her house isn't that far, so it takes us about five to ten minutes. I look at Larry and nod. "Cool. I'm still not sure why she hasn't told us about her birthday. I mean, if it were me, I would be jumping for joy!"

"I'm sure you would Lar." I hesitate before continuing. "Promise me you won't tell a soul what I'm about to tell you."

"I promise. What's up?"

"Well... Y/N lost her dad to a fire the day before her ninth birthday, so she doesn't like celebrating it. That's how her face got all fucked up."

"Shit, for real? Wow...that's..." Larry was speechless, I could tell.

"It's okay man, you don't have to say anything. I just don't want you talking about it to anyone else. It could spread and eventually get to Travis, and that bastard doesn't need to know."

"You got it dude."

As I open the gate, I take the key out of my pocket. We get closer to the door until I see that the lights are all off. Huh, weird. Standing in front of the door, I unlock it and enter, Larry following behind me.
