{Y/N POV}

I woke up to the door opening. Weird, Aunt Carol wasn't supposed to be home till two in the morning. I get up from bed quietly and grab a bat near my bed. Did I mention I had a bat? Well, now you do! I open my door carefully, hearing low mumbles.

"She's probably asleep or something, dude. You're panicking for no reason!"

"Hey, shut up! I've known her longer and I know for a fact that she doesn't like the dark."

"Whatever you say man."

Is that Larry and Sal? Ugh, those idiots, they almost game me a heart attack! Well, it would be funny if I scared them. As they made their way to the living room, I quietly go downstairs and hid behind the kitchen counter. I giggle a lit and tip toe my way towards them. "Heeere's Johnny!"

They both turn around a scream, higher than what I expected. I burst out laughing, holding onto my stomach while slowly falling to the floor.

"Y/N! Don't fucking do that! You almost gave us a heart attack!!" I stop my laughing and wipe a tear away. Larry helped me up.

"Sorry, but you guys came in without saying anything. I thought it was a fucking criminal or something." My eyes land on Sal's hand. "Oh, right. I forgot you had a spare key." I make my way to the kitchen. "I'm gonna bake something. You guys wanna help?"

"Eh, sure." The boys make their way to the kitchen.

{time skip!}

As we wait for the cookies to bake, we sit down and watch a movie. Ironically, it's The Shining. The oven beeps meaning the cookies are done. "I'll get 'em." As I get up, a cramp hits me out of nowhere, making me groan.

"You okay there Y/N?" Sal says not taking his eyes off the screen.

"Not really. I'm on my period." Larry and Sal look back at me, confused.

"What's that?" I stare at them, dumbfounded.

"You guys seriously don't know what a period is?" They shake their heads no. "Well, to put it into simpler terms, my uterus thinks I'm having a baby today. But when I say I'm not, it punches me so hard that now I have blood coming out of my vigina for 7 days straight." Oh boy, you should of seen their faces. Pure disgust.

"Dude! T.M.I!" Sal yells.

"Ew, that's gross man!" Larry says.

"Well, be lucky that it doesn't happen to you." I make my way to the oven and put on my oven mitts. I take out the cookies, making the amazing smell escape around the whole house. The boys rose from the couch and into the kitchen, mouths watering. "What do you boys think you're doing? These are for me, not you."

"What?! Why not?" Larry cries.

"Because I'm the one with pain, sadness, and anger."

"She's right dude. Women are always anyway." Sal perkes up. I smile at him.

"I guess. Can we at least have one?" Larry looks at me with puppy eyes. I sigh. He's lucky that he's cute, otherwise I would've slapped him.

"Ugh, fine, but ONLY one!" They both smile and grab one cookie and make their way to the couch. I grab the tray and bring it to the table.

{another time skip!}

It's now eleven p.m. Both of the boys are passed out while I'm watching Friends. Man, I love that show so much. Hopefully when all of us are older, we can be just like them. I turn my heads to see Sal's bare face and Larry's open mouth. I chuckle and get up, looking for a blanket. I lay it on them, then sitting down next to Sal, I cover myself with the blanket and sleep.

"Daddy!" I yell as another piece of wood falls in front of my face. My mommy is right next to me, holding on. We both have tears in our eyes as we see him on the ground, dead. His body was covered in fire and wood.

"We need to go, now Y/N!" Mommy yells. She looks at my face and gags. She grabs my hand and drags me to the back door while I scream for daddy. He can't be dead, he can't be! As we make it outside, ambulances and fire trucks cover the streets. Children, adults, and elderly scream and cry as some get out while some are still stuck inside the apartment building. I see one of the medics come up to me and mommy.

"Are you alright hun? Did the fire do this to your face?" I nod as tears fall down my cheeks like rivers. She's talking with mommy, but I don't listen. All I can think about is daddy, and how he's still stuck in there. I close my eyes and fall to the ground, fainting.

I wake up to myself sitting down on a chair next to a hospital bed. I look much older now. I look to see my mother lying down. Her whole body was pale, her head was bald, and she looked exhausted. I let the tears fall as I remember. My mother is dying, and she's dying right in front of me. The heart monitor makes a single noise, making me stop. "No...NO! MOM, WAKE UP! PLEASE! YOU CAn't... you can't leave me... not like dad... please..." When I wipe my tears and open my eyes, I'm not in the hospital room anymore. I turn around and-

I wake up, my cheeks wet. I look next to me. The boys are still sleeping. I uncover myself and go upstairs, making my way to the balcony.

{Sal's POV}

I feel moving as I open my eyes slowly. I see Y/N get up and head upstairs, sniffling. I furrow my eyebrows and get up, following her. I open the balcony door and sit next to her on the couch. Yes, she has a couch out here. "Hey, are you okay? I heard you sniffle."

"Not really. I just had a nightmare is all." I wrap my arm around her and she lays her head on my shoulder. "But, you don't have to worry about it."

"You sure?" She looks at me and smiles.

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Ok, cause I was gonna sing that song for you." She raises an eyebrow.

"What song?"

"You don't remember? The one that we would sing when we were in fifth grade?"

"THAT song? God, I haven't sang that since..." She trailed off, looking away.

"Look, I'm sorry that I moved, but dad said it was for the better. Besides, you're here now! Now we'll never be apart." She laughs.

"Yeah, that's true. Hold on, let me grab my ukulele." She gets up, grabbing it. She never learned how to play it, but I know she keeps it near because of me. "I remember when you gave this to me before you left. You don't know but I cried so fucking hard after that."

"Haha, I believe you." I take the ukulele from her and start playing.

(Human by dodie - you may play the song now)

I wanna pick you up and scoop you out
I want the secrets your secrets haven't found

Paint me in trust
I'll be your best friend
Call me the one
This night just can't end
Oh oh

Will you share your soul with me?
Unzip your skin and let me have a see

Paint me in trust
I'll be your best friend
Call me the one
This night just can't end
Oh oh

Oh, I'm so human
We're just human

Lean for me, and I'll fall back
You'll fit so nicely, you'll keep me intact

Paint me in trust
I'll be your best friend
Call me the one
This night just can't end
Oh oh

I want to give you your grin
So tell me you can't bear a room that I'm not in

Paint me in trust
I'll be your best friend
Call me the one
This night just can't end
Oh oh

Oh, I'm so human
We're just human

{Y/N POV}

Sal plants a kiss on my forehead. "We'll always be friends, right?"

I laugh and smile. "Of course." We both hug. Oh yeah, we're definitely going to be like Friends when we're older.
