Susie and Kris left the school very early in the morning; it was still dark, and the moon was still out. Kris was shivering and limping sleepily on the sidewalk; however, Susie wasn't bothered at all. Soon, he swayed, and she was forced to stop. "Easy there, Kris." Susie helped to steady him. "Ya tired already?" Kris nodded drowsily. Susie suddenly had an idea, but she was embarrassed to execute it. She sighed, then bent down. "Hop on." Kris looked up at her, confused. She groaned and said, "Onto my back!" He finally understood, and climbed onto her back for a piggyback ride. "Don't tell anyone about this. Got it?" Susie grumbled. "Got it," Kris whispered before he fell fast asleep. Susie sighed and walked on, staring up at the dark nighttime sky. Billions of stars twinkled back at her. "Thanks," she murmured to nobody in particular. "Merry Christmas."
