I sipped at my coffee and stared out the window, watching as the small raindrops slid down the glass.
I placed my white cup down on the wooden table and sighed.
The coffee shop was very empty today and gave off a very calm and quiet atmosphere.
I took one last sip of the coffee and stood up from my chair. I put on my jacket and placed down the money on the table.
"Leaving already?" I turned around and saw Mark wiping one of the tables clean.
"Yeah. I have an unfinished chapter that I have to finish at home." I said and he nodded.
"Alright. You're always so busy with all your writing." he chucked and started wiping the other table.
"Yeah, you know me... always writing." I smiled slightly. "I left my money on the table by the way."
"Okay. Have a good day, Jinyoung." He smiled.
"Thanks, you too." I smiled back and exited the small coffee shop. I stuffed my hands in my pockets and jogged down the street, letting the cold rain hit my body.
I didn't live far from here so I think I could make it fast enough.
My hair was sticking to my face and my soaked clothes were clinging on to my skin in an uncomfortable manner.
I was just outside my apartment complex when I accidentally tripped over my own feet and fell on the hard cement.
"Are you alright?"
I looked up and saw a young male standing in front of me, extending his hand out for me to take.
"Y-Yeah" I replied and accepted his kind offer and let him help me up.
"You should be more careful next time." He said with a serious expression. His black hair was sticking to his face as the small water drops were sliding down.
"Yeah uh I'll try." I laughed slightly and scratched my neck. He only looked at me with an unfamiliar look in his eyes that I couldn't really read. I cleared my throat and looked away.
"I should uhm... probably get going." I said and looked down.
"Yeah. Have a good day." He smiled slightly and brushed past me.
I turned my head around and took one last glance at the mysterious guy and watched him disappear in the distance.
When I no longer could see him anymore, I turned and walked inside the apartment.
I stepped inside the elevator and pressed the button that lead me up to the 10th floor.
When the metal doors finally slid open, I walked through the dimly lit hallway while fishing for my keys in my pockets.
I finally got them out and inserted them into the lock and unlocked my door.
I stepped inside and closed the door behind me while sliding off my wet shoes.
I took off my wet jacket and hung it up as I tossed the keys on the little table.
The first thing I did was to go into my bedroom and grabbed a new pair of clothes to replace my soaked ones and took a long warm shower.
I honestly didn't have the energy to finish my work today but I had to.
I was seated on my bed, leaning against the headboard and was typing away on my laptop when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in" I said and the door opened.
"Hey, Jinyoung!" Jackson smiled at me.
"Hey" I smiled back.
"Whatcha doing?" He asked and plopped down on the bed beside me.
"Writing" I said and rubbed my eyes.
"Always writing..." he mumbled. "Do you wanna take a break and watch some TV with me?" He asked with hope in his voice.
"I'm sorry but I have to get this done." I sighed. He pouted and gave me that puppy eyed look.
"Please~" he begged. "Just for a little while."
I rolled my eyes and placed the laptop on the bedside table.
"Ugh, fine. But not too long, okay?" I said and his eyes immediately lit up with excitement.
"Yay! Come on!" He cheered and practically ran out of my bedroom. I chuckled and followed my friend.
We ended up watching some kind of documentary movie and well let's just say that it took up more than just "a little while".
I yawned when Jackson turned off the TV and I could feel my eyelids getting heavier.
"I don't know about you but I'm gonna go to bed." He yawned as well and stretched his arms.
"Yeah, me too." I mumbled and stood up from the couch.
"Night" He said and walked to his room.
"Goodnight" I said and walked to my room as well.
So much for getting my work done...
I fell asleep almost immediately when my head hit the pillow and I entered the wonderful land of dreams.
