"Sorry that I, uh, barged in on you like that",  he murmured. The tall figure staring at you was quite a pleasant sight with the broad shoulders and nicely styled blond hair.

"You know", you started in your usual sarcastic tone, "it wouldn't have been awkward at all if you just let me sneak out like nothing happened, but now it is." That kind of talk has always been your choice when you felt threatened in a way. His face turned red in embarrassment. even though he was in his own house. He pinched his nose then spoke up, "Yeah, sorry."

You stood there for a moment blinking a few times, then swung around on the heels getting ready to leave. His long fingers wrapped your upper arm. You turned your head down the fingers first, then over your shoulder at him making him let go instantly.

"What?", you now entirely face him and ask slightly annoyed, not to talk about how you're dying to go home. He exhaled loudly as if he regretted every choice he made that day.

"Do you, erm...", his hesitation was quite obvious, "maybe wanna stay for a bit?"

You furrowed your eyebrows tilting your head, "Why would I stay?"

He kinda chuckled through his answer, "Well, it would be rude of me not to ask my neighbour to stay, now wouldn't it?"

That caught you off guard a bit, making you gasp slightly, "I barely see you around here, how do you-" He cut you off, "I've got a direct view into your room from my window."

Your jaw dropped and he covered his mouth quickly after coming to realisation of what he's just blurted out.
