Ever since they went home, all you heard was about what "good people" they are, how "nice their son" is and "what a lovely time" your parents had. You replayed it in your head, rather annoyed.

When the sun went down, so did you. "Where are you going, young lady?", your dad asked on your way out.

"I'm going with Luke", you said irritably as you opened the door.

"I thought you said you didn't like him!", you mum shouted from somewhere.

"Yeah, well I don't", you returned and slammed the door.

You saw Luke on his side of the fence when you sloppily stomped around your front yard. "It was fun today", he giggled. "Hemmings", you said and he quickly responded to your calling, "Yes?"

"Just shut up and kiss me", you say stepping on the small concrete base of the fence. He shrugged and leaned over the fence holding the back of your head when he crashed his lips with yours. After he asked you, "Still believing you hate me?"

"Of course I do, don't be stupid", you defended yourself for your own reason, making it only seemingly obvious to him that you don't hate him even a bit. Although, you did hate the fact that you couldn't.

"That's cute", he smirked at your sassy reply. "Cross over", Luke simply said and you give him a weird look, "What?"

"Over the fence", he laughed, "Dad's working a night shift today at the store and mum went with him." You stare at him and the fence, then shrug and start climbing. "You could've just taken the 5 steps on the street and walk into my yard, neighbour", he said mockingly as soon as you flew your leg over the top bar.

"Are you kidding me right now?", your jaw dropped at his stupid joke, and you were not in the mood for that, not even the slightest. "Nah, but thanks for the peek under the polkadot", he winked slyly.

"You sneaky little-", you'd just started dissing him, but he grabbed you by your waist and imitated your voice, "Oh shut up, y/l/n." You rolled your eyes at him and he snickered.

"What does it take to get you to say my name or at least stop", he let go of you and did quotation marks with his fingers, " 'hating me'?" You scoffed hatefully, "Well, a lot more than you've shown so far, Hemmings." His bottom lip trembled with slight anger, "I'll take that as a dare.

"Stop being so mean to people", he hissed in your face. The corner of your lip drew back in a half smile as the daredevil in you came out on the surface. When his anger apparently disappeared and you detected a ghost of a smile on his face, you kinda got worried about his next move - and you should have worried.

Without any previous warning, you watched his knees bend  grabbing your attention. You didn't even realise what he meant to do, until you were over his shoulder with a view on his back. He was holding your bare legs behind your knee so you don't fall down. You were lazily and continuously tapping his lower back because you didn't feel like punching him as you moaned, "Come on, Hemmo, let me dooown!"
