Chapter 45-Time and Moments

Sam's POV

Until Ash finally break the silence, "Sam, I would like you to meet Erin." I look and I gasp in shock. I don't know how to react, but all I can feel is the sadness and wishing that I shouldn't have come here. I didn't expect haunted memories will come back, the loss of someone that you loved.

I look at the gravestone that's says "Erin."

"She's a great friend, I met her at the hospital, and she's like a sister to me" Ash said.

"What happened to her?" I asked.

"She sadly passed away due to cancer... I'm glad that she rest peacefully, but my heart is still hurting... and I missed her so much" she sniff as tears are falling from her cheeks.

"I'm sorry for your loss," I said as I walk toward her and hugs her tight. She hugs me back.

~Time Skip~

Ashley and I are at Wendy's sitting across from each other. I bite down my food like a savage beast while Ashley is looking out of the window. I after taking a few bite of the burger, I pause looking at her. She is seems to zone out.

"You okay Ash?"

'Geez, I'm starting to sound like Mark...'

"Yeah..."

"Ashley, I know you're lying. You know you can tell me anything."

"I know," she sighed then turns her head to me. "Do you ever wish that you could go back in time, just to spend some time with them one last time?"

This question makes me think of my family, especially my siblings and how my life used to be happy. "Yes."

"I feel like that I take certain things for granted. I didn't really realize that until that moment she's gone. Because of that, I appreciate every moment with my friends and family, even this moment with you."

I blush a little as she holds my hand and smile at me. "There's the happy Ash that I know and love."

"Yeah, I'm feeling a bit better. Sorry that you have to see this. No one likes me when I'm upset."

"Ash, it's okay. I'm here for you, you know. You can feel whatever you want around me."

"Thank you."

Ashley's POV

"Thank you," I said with a smile. However those voices are still in my head.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself

You're overreacting with your situations

You're seeking attention

You're so selfish

It better to hide your emotions
