Sam's POV

I meet up with Billy at the lunch table and rest of the kids that I never met.

"Hey Billy!" I said.

"Hey Sam, what's up?"

"Bill is that your girlfriend?" the boy with a football hoodie asked. Billy turns his head toward his friend and shakes his head.

"She's not my girlfriend, she's just my friend."

"Uh huh, sure she's 'just a friend,'" he teased.

"Justin I'm serious."

"Calm down bro, I'm just joking," he said as he put his arms up in defense.

"I know," Billy respond with a straight face and then messes Justin's hair.

"DAMMIT BILLY! You know how long it takes for me to fix my hair?"

"Justin you have short hair, it should be a second."

"Whatever smartass..." Justin grumbles as he fixes his hair before he cross his arms. Everyone laugh and carry on with their conversation.

"Hey Sam, any plans for this weekend?" Billy asked.

"Well... nothing much really, why you asked?"

"My friend Drake is throwing a party, you should go."

"I don't think it's a good idea."

"Come on Sam, you're going to miss out the fun!"

"I agree you should come!" Justin joins in.

"YAH! You'll be able to make cool friends and have a great time," one of the boys said.

"This is a onetime opportunity; you'll never know when we're doing this again."

I can hear bunch of kids telling to come, but I don't know if I want to go. I can feel my heart pound against my chest while I'm still trying to think. This is a onetime opportunity for me to have bunch of friends and can be finally accepted and be normal girl, but I've seen bunch of movies where something bad happened to teenagers during the party or after the party.

'Come on Sam! This isn't typical teenage drama movies! Besides going to one party wouldn't hurt, it's not like something will ever happen, what could go wrong?'

"Okay guys, you win I'll join," I respond before the kids smile and cheer.

"You made the right call," Billy said.

"Thanks Billy, you know I won't let a friend down."

"I'm glad to have a friend like you."

When lunch ends, I walk to my class, as I was walking past someone. Someone grabs me by the back of my shirt, the first thing I thought Britney was grabbing me, but as I look to see who it is. My eyes were filled with shock then quickly change to annoyed. It was Lucy.

"I heard you're going to a party," she said calmly.

"Yeah... why you care?" I asked as I cross my arms.

"I care because you're my friend."

"Not anymore..." I muttered.

"Sam, you may think I don't care about you, but I do. The thing is those guys don't care about you, they're..." she paused as she felt disturb about those guys, "they're just throwing party just to get laid..."

"How do you know? You had been to their party?"

"No, I just know because last year I saw one girl got pregnant after a party."

"How do you know it's their party and not someone else?"

"Sam, you know this isn't their first time."

I roll my eyes, "I think you're just making things up so I can miss out on the fun, and trying to have a normal life."

"Really Sam, is this what you're worry about? Just want to have a normal life?"

I grab her by the collar of her shirt and shove her at the wall as I tried my best to hold back tears. "I'm tired of being an outcast, I'm tired of being used, and I'm tired of being the one who is putting the people I care at risk. I... just want to have normal life... is it too much to ask life for a regular life where I don't have to witness people getting hurt and live happily with my family?"

"Sam..."

Tears streaming down my cheek as I slowly release Lucy's collar. I back away before I wipe a tear away with my thumb. "Lucy... I don't want to hurt you... please don't talk to me." Before Lucy could say anything to me, I quickly run off to my classroom.

~Time Skip~

While the teacher is lecturing the class, I was busy thinking about what had happened with Lucy. I can feel the weight on my shoulders as my thoughts slowly bring Ashley up. I sigh as I can feel my heart beat in pain. I shake the feeling off trying to dismiss it. I took a deep breath trying to calm down before I place my right hand on cheek to support my head as I stare out of the window watching some kids playing in the field.
