Sam's POV
"Sam, we need to talk," dad said in a deep voice.
My body froze as my heart pounding against my chest, as I slowly turn my head toward his direction. "Yes dad?"
"Can you explain to me why you got in a fight?"
"I..." I said with hesitation, "I don't want to talk about it..."
"I won't let you slip by this time."
"Dad please..."
"Sam this is serious! I don't want you to use the same excuse over and over!" he said raise his voice without knowing.
I flinch when he raise his voice as I can feel the tear slowly streaming down my cheek. My hands are shaking, I hope he's not doing what I think he's doing...
"I'm sorry..." I whimpered.
He sighs, as we both remain silent while he's driving us to our home.

When we both arrive, dad is about to open his car door.
"Dad..."
"Yes?"
"Can you promise me something...?" I asked.
"Depends what you're asking..." he responds calmly.
"When we get in the house, promise me you won't hit, throw bottles at me or throw me around?"
"Why would I do that?"
"Because... Achan would do it..."
"Sam, you know I will never do that to you," he said looking at me.
"I know you wouldn't... but I have to be sure..."
He gets out of the car as I do the same. I just want to get in my room and be alone. Before he opens the door, he walks up to me and hugs me and I hug him back.
"I love you so much Sam, don't you ever forget that."
"I know..." I muttered trying to hold back tears.
We both walk in the house to find Chica and Henry walking up to us. I walk pass the dogs to heading to my room.
"Hello Mark, Hello Sam," mom said.
"Hi mom," I said with a fake smile before I can even head upstairs.
"You two arrive late, is everything alright?" she asked.
"It's fine mom..." I replied.
"I'll tell you about it," dad said as I head upstairs.
I walk in my room toss my backpack aside and collapse on my bed and cry.

Hours few by that I didn't know how long I've been lying on bed crying my eyes out. Until I heard the door knocks.
"Who is it...?" I muttered.
"It's your mom," mom responds.
"Come in..."
She opens the door, walking in, quietly closes the door and walking up to me and sits at the edge of the bed.
"Mark told me what happened. Is there something you want to talk about?"
"... It's... complicated..." I muttered.
She places her hand on my shoulder, "Sam, your father and I love you so much. We both want you to live happy."
"I know... it just..." I sigh, "Things just happened way too fast... that it was no longer under my control..."
"Can you tell me what happened?"
"Promised me you won't tell Mark... I don't want him to think he's a bad dad..."
"It depends what you're telling me."
I sigh and tell her what happened today at school, and that the reason why I beat Britney up was that she was talking bad about dad, and that I wasn't able to tell the principal the truth because Britney has the upper hand of the situation and that I don't want the principal assume that dad was being a terrible father. I break down crying as mom wraps her arms around me pulls me in hugging me and trying her best to comfort me.

I don't know how long I was in mom's arms, but we both hear dad calling both of us for dinner.
"Want to come down and eat with us?"
"No thanks... I'm not hungry... I just need some alone time," I said.
"Okay," she said before leaving me in my room.
I sigh before I grab my phone out to check out my uncle's channel. So far his content was able to somewhat cheer me up.
'I miss you Uncle Jack... Same with Uncle Bob and Uncle Wade...'
I go to my channel to look at the things that my friends and I have done. I smile a little, until Ashley show up in the video. While the video continues playing I scroll down to check out the comments section. Most of the commenters are commenting about Ashley. Like RIP Ashley or things aren't the same anymore, and missing same.
"I feel you guys... I feel you..."
I continue scrolling to see, some people blaming me for Ashley's death, that I quickly click a different video to clear my head. It's the video that I made an announcement that we're discontinuing the channel due to Ashley's death. I pause the video so I don't have to relive the nightmare, I scroll down that's the same thing to other videos, but then someone comment that they shouldn't feel sorry for Sam they should feel sorry for her friends that Sam should be the one who should be killed not Ashley. The comments did respond to defend me or agreeing. Until I see someone have a link saying "will this change your mind then?"
Some people did respond to agree that I was cheating while others are still defending me. The more scroll down things just got worst. People are debating that whether or not Mark should take me back to the orphanage. I wonder if people are discussing this on the internet now, so I decide to search it. That was the biggest mistake I've made in my life. I see couple of videos, title: Is Sam a gold digger and other videos that I don't want to name. I click on the video and pauses the video once the video starts and look at the like/dislike bar. Most of them are dislike while some are like.
I see some commenters that are agreeing saying "I agree, Sam shouldn't be adopted at all. Mark deserves better" or just commenting how they're feeling disgusted. I look at the comments that are opposing the video saying "you shouldn't decide whether or not if Sam should be adopted, it's Mark's choice and we have to live with it." Another commenter comment down "Mark doesn't need our approval if he should or shouldn't adopt a child, it's his life, he can do what he wants. It's none of our businesses. He makes videos to entertain us not us knowing everything about him."
Some are just neutral saying that "I'm sadden that we community are slowly divided up. We're supposed to make each other feel better and help another not tear each other down."
I sigh, and close the video and search the music up 'One Step Closer' by Linkin Park.
