Sam's POV

The day after making a promise to myself, I haven't made any eye contact or talk to anyone. I have been locking myself in the room, barely eating anything. Because of my loneliness I decided to write a poem.

~Poem Starts~

There was a girl

She used to have dreams

She used to be happy

She wanted to be happy

Suddenly the world crumbles around her

She thought her life would be over

But there was a small light

She runs after the light

No matter how fast she runs

The light is always out of her reach

She runs after it

Suddenly she fell into a hole

She watches the light fade away as she fell

She wonder how long will she be down in a rabbit hole

Will she ever come back?

Dreaming the way it used to be?

Can you hear me?

~Poem Ends~

I want to continue writing with the poem, but I can feel my hand shaking as tears streaming down my cheek. I flinch as I heard someone knocking on my door.

"Hey Sam, are you doing okay?" Mark asked.

I didn't respond to his answer.

"Uncle Jack, Amy and I are worry about you. You haven't left the room since yesterday. Please say something."

I can feel my heart twist in a knot as I hear his voice cracked up a bit trying his best not to cry.

'Please talk to him...'

I stay silently, despising the urgent feeling to reach out to him. I can hear him sigh in defeat, and walks off.

'Please don't go...'

I shakily sigh before grabbing my laptop to watch some old videos that my friends and I had done together. I wear the earbuds in my ears before I can click on the video. I silently watch the video where my friends and I played Mario Kart tournament together. The video is filled with laughter and smile while some of us are making some offensive jokes.

I stop the video, and go on one of my file folders to watch one of my private videos. It was the time when Ash met Uncle Jack for the first time. I click on the video. As the video plays, it shows me holding the camera telling Ash not to open her eyes.

Ash tries to make some excuses to open her eyes, but I know what she's trying to pull off. Once Uncle Jack is in the video, I told Ash to open her eyes. As she opens her eyes, her eyes widened in surprise that she finally meets one of her role model. I can see her eyes are full of tears of joy. She hugs Jack and thanks me for surprising her. Rest of the video is basically Jack and Ash talking having a laugh.

"Smile for the camera" I said at the end of the video. I bawl my eyes out as the video stops playing. Suddenly I hear a knock on the door. I turn my head toward the door as tears streaming down my cheek.

"Hey Sam... its Uncle Jack. Mark and Amy are out, so it's just me and you."

I stay silent as I sniff.

"Mind if I come in?" he asked politely.

I silently get up, walk up toward the door to unlock and slowly open the door not making an eye contact with him.

"Want to talk about it?"

I shake my head no, before heading back to my bed sitting down. Uncle Jack walks in only to see a video of him and Ashley talking having a laugh from my laptop. I turn my head toward him with a soft face. Uncle Jack walks up to me and hugs me tight as I sob in his arms.

"It's okay," he whispers as he pats me in the back.

~Few minutes Early before walking into Sam's room~

Jack's POV

It's been hours and Sam hasn't come out her room ever since we return from Pax. How can someone be that heartless toward an innocent person who has done nothing wrong to them? I see Mark walks back to the living room as tears streaming down his face.

"Nothing?" Amy asked.

"She hasn't said a word to me."

"Poor Sam..." I sighed.

~Time Skip~

Mark and Amy have to take Henry and Chica out for a walk. Meantime it's just me and Sam in the house. So I decided to check on Sam. I get up from the couch and walk to Sam's room. As I approach the door, I can hear the video playing in her room.

"Hey Sam... its Uncle Jack. Mark and Amy are out, so it's just me and you," I said right after I politely knock. There was no response from Sam but I can hear a sniffle.

"Mind if I come in?"

I can hear her approach the door before she opens the door making a creak noise. Sam hasn't said anything to me or makes an eye contact.

"Want to talk about it?" I asked.

She shakes her head, and she silently walks back to her bed watching a video when I first met Ashley. I can feel the weight on my chest as she turns her head to me with a sorrow look. I quietly walk up to her and hug her as she cried in my arms.

"It's okay," I whispered trying my best not to cry.

"I-I... missed her s-so much..." she sobbed.

"Me too, everyone missed her," I cried pulling her close to me and hugs her tight.
