Sam's POV

I wake up, looking around only to find nothing but darkness. "Hello? Is anyone there?" I called, and no one respond. 'Where the hell am I? How long was I out?' So many questions are running through my thoughts.

I can't stay here, I need to keep moving to figure it out and maybe go... home...?

"Home..." I said quietly, "maybe this is my home?" I want to accept that this is how it should end, but something tells me to keep moving.

"Why? Why should I keep moving?" I said out loud not caring if there's someone out there probably listening and thinking that I'm crazy. Struggle to convince myself not to move, but eventually I decided to walk in the dark, even though it's probably pointless.

Hours of walking in the dark, I want to give up, but I keep hearing this inner voice telling me to keep going and that I'm almost there. I don't understand why though, what's the point? Suddenly I hear another voice.

I turn my head around, "who's there?" I see the silhouette of a person and I walk toward the person. As I'm getting closer, my heart stops for a minute as I struggle to hold back tears.

"Skylar?"

"Yes, it's me," she said a smile. Without any hesitation I hug her tightly as I can as I cry like a baby.

"I missed you so much Sky..." I sobbed.

"I missed you too," she said.

Minutes of hugging and crying, she breaks away from the hug as I wipe my tears away. "Where's Ash?" I asked.

"He's somewhere here," she responds.

"Here I am!" another voice said as someone is wrapping their arms around me in a form of hug. I smile as I hug him back.

"You guys have no idea, how much I missed you," I said with a smile.

"Wow, it has been really a long time, I didn't expect you to get that big," Ash joked.

"Wait... if I see you guys... Does that mean... I'm dead as well?" I asked. Ash and Skylar stay silent until Skylar speaks out.

"Yes... and... no."

"What that supposed to mean?" I questioned.

"It's a long story, let's just said after the incident, well half of your spirit is here but the other one is still in the body..."

"Wait, hold up. If Sam's spirit is here? Shouldn't her body be cold or her heart should stop beating until Sam's soul is back in there?" he asked.

"Well..."

"Maybe I'm just dreaming the whole time," I said.

"Wait what?" Ash asked looking all confuse.

"What if I'm talking to the memory of my conscious and not the spirit?"

"Well... there are a lot of possibilities that we may or may not know. It's up to you decide how you want to put it," Skylar answer.

"Why do some things have to be so... complicated?" Ash questioned.

"Because that's life Ash," she responds.

"How are mom and dad?" I asked.

"They're doing well."

My siblings and I spend time together trying to catch up, I don't know how long I was hanging out with them, but I don't care. I'm just happy to see them and spend time with them. I even thought of staying here.

"Hey guys," I called.

"What's up?" Ash asked.

"I was thinking that I want to stay here with you."

Ash and Skylar looks at each other than back at me. "Why you want to stay here?"

"Because I don't really see the point of leaving here, when I have you two here with me," I said with a smile.

Ash sighs and grins while Skylar just stare at me. "Are you sure?" which I nodded.

"What about Mark and our friends?" another voice joins in. All three of us turn our heads toward the person who spoke out. My eyes are filling with shock as I want to run and hug her.

"Ashley?"

"Missed me?" She asked before I run and jump on her.

"I missed you since you were gone!" I screamed while tears running down my cheek again as I tightly hug her.

"I missed you too Sammy," she said as she kiss me on the forehead.

"Yeah... I'm totally convinced that I want to stay here."

"You can't stay here," Ashley said, "you have to go back."
