One week before prom
Havana.
"Oh! Look at this one mom! It's so pretty!" I squealed.
My mom chuckled at my excitement, as I went to try it on. We've gone from shop to shop looking for the perfect dress. Throughout the course of the week, I've seen my mom get weaker and weaker. It truly breaks my heart to see her so weak. She shakes slightly sometimes and it scares me. But now, she's stable and okay. I just have this strong feeling that she's going to die soon. Everyone tells me that she's going to be okay and that once she goes through surgery, she'll be fine again. I just can't find a way to believe it. I walked out the dressing room and to my mother.
"You look beautiful, Havana."
I grinned and said,
"I'm not really feeling it anymore."
My mom nodded and I went back to the dressing room and changed back into my regular clothes, then we walked out the store. There's one more store, I hope I find the perfect dress there.
Chris.
I know exactly what my father is doing, and it pisses me off. The fact that he puts his hands on Havana sickens me. Although, I shouldn't be talking because, I've been rough with her. But not the type of rough to hit her. That's just too far. Does her mother know? Does Zayn even know? I'll ask her when I get the chance. But now it's back to finding a nice tux for prom and finding out who I'm taking to prom. Or I might just go by myself. I could ask Bianca but then again, she's against Havana. Wait, I shouldn't be talking because I was against Havana at one point and I was the "mastermind" behind my plan that I added Bianca to. I just feel like if I take Bianca to the dance, I'll be hurting Havana in a way, I'll feel guilty. I don't want to feel that.
A few hours later.
Zayn.
"So what's the color of your dress?" I asked.
"Violet." Havana answered, eating her fries.
"Okay good, now I know what color tie to get."
"So you are taking me to prom as your date!" Havana squealed.
"Why wouldn't I? You're my girlfriend." I said, matter of factly.
"Well, you never asked me." Havana sighed.
"I didn't think that I had to. You're my girlfriend so I would automatically take you." I replied, a bit unsure.
"Well, every girl wants to be asked to prom even if she has a boyfriend. So that means, you have to ask me." Havana said, sticking her tongue out.
"Don't make me bite your tongue. And don't worry I'll ask you. You just won't know when." I joked.
"Oh shut up." Havana giggled, sipping her drink.
"Don't choke, love."
"I won't."
I think I'm growing to love Havana. I'm not at the point where I can say "I love you" but I know that I'm getting there. I know that I'll be saying it soon.
