Sarah finished all her commitments and taped advanced SGL episodes for two months, she requested for two weeks vacation in the US for a much needed rest. Her mother agreed that since the year start, she worked non stop, taping, rehearsals, TVC shoots, guestings in and out of the country, mall shows, etc. Sarah requested her Mom not to accept anymore projects within the year, and said she will personally asked Boss Vic to give her a break. She will stay in US and will meet Ate Joana and Gab who are studying there.
Sarah: Boss Vic, for the past ten years of my life, I have been loyal, dedicated and committed to my work. You said after the two major concerts, both a success, you will allowed me to rest and even told me that you will be giving me “bonus” for a job well done. But it has been almost two months, and yet all my days have been full of projects and schedules. Maybe it’s about time that before you accepted any more projects for me in the future, please consider that I am not the same Sarah as before, I am already feeling burn out, and exhausted. Imagine, I got hospitalized twice for overfatigue, and yet I notice that instead of limited my projects, you have accepted additional loads even without my consent.
I don’t want to sound like I am complaining or getting stubborn and hardheaded, but please for the remaining months of my contract with your company, can you spare me some period to rest.
Boss Vic: Sarah, we are sorry that you have been feeling like we are exploiting you, but opportunities only come once, if we will not grap it then you will not have any projects.
Sarah: Boss, I don’t think it is the case, I know I have already established my credibility and have never been reported as problematic artist. You know that. So, I guess, we can demand that their schedule be adjusted which will not compromise my health. Sorry, but I guess I have enough schedules to last me my lifetime. Ate Juday is right, I am more than busy that the word “busy”. So please, try to renegotiate my schedules. You have other artist who can be given the break for those guestings.
Boss Vic: But your mother has signed her consent to all your projects line up for this year.
Sarah: Yes, we talked about it already. I told Mama, not to accept anymore another projects, because I don’t think I could give my best on it. Please allow me to have some break.
Boss Vic: Okay, we’ll give you two weeks and that’s it. If you extend, it will be charged against your personal account. We would like to reiterate to you what has been agreed on, if we learn that you and Gerald will have some clandestine arrangement during that break, you have to face the consequences. We will be sending a new PA to go with you in the US.
Sarah: What consequences are you talking about, you will be cancelling all my shows? Then I will be much grateful, because I will be gaining back my life.
Boss Vic: No no it will not be like that…. But you know how our media blitz worked, your reputation will be ruin and your credibility will be destroyed.
Sarah refrain from answering back. Now she realized that what Gerald had told her ar all true. I have been exploited blindly and let this people eat up my life and my family. I am ready now to stand agaist them.
Sarah left for the US tour with the new PA appointed by her Boss. Ate Ana is relieved because they thought that she is cuddling me and Gerald and allow us to see each other despite the restrictions given us.
