Zirem looked for something in the darkness, something that would lead him to the dungeon. He wasn't afraid. At lvl 21, he had stats way higher than his lvl and he still had some extra stat points. He decided to wait before he used them.

Nothing happened. He waited for what seemed like an eternity, but finally, he chose to move. Instantly, the darkness evaporated, letting him see the three Minotaurs growling and drooling, their axes raised and their horns lowered.

The Minotaurs charged, but Zirem jumped over one, causing it to ram into another. Both dealt to each other 120 damage. Spinning, Zirem tagged one, his blade cutting through the tough hide with ease.

The Minotaur died immediately, while the two other weakened ones turned, charging towards him. Stabbing, he surprised them both, and one vanished in a flash. Its startled companion stepped back nervously, but Zirem walked confidently until he was toe to toe with the two and a half meter tall beast.

The Minotaur roared, and swung downwards, the axe hitting the rock where he'd been just a second ago. Zirem struck fast and hard, dealing massive damage. The Minotaur died. Each dropped 200 XP. Pretty good. As he levelled up once again and was left with 504/581 XP. Close to lvl 23. As he closed the menu, he walked down a few corridors finding nothing, when a message popped up. Ignoring it, Zirem closed it.

After he beat the Minotaurs, he looked at his new surroundings. He was inside a cave, with five tunnels leading somewhere he couldn't see in the darkness.

He walked upward, towards what the map said was room 2, which lead to room 5. As he did, he spotted a monster ahead of him. The tag above its head told him it was an Otyugh. The beast was like nothing Zirem had seen before. It was vaguely humanoid from waist up, and stood four meters tall. Horns jutted from its head, and spikes from its shoulders and back. Long, sharp claws, strong enough to rip through steel, grew out of the monster's fingers. The Otyugh held a club, but the demon was more likely to drop it when Zirem proved himself to be a decent swordsman. Fangs jutted upward from its mouth, venomous saliva flowing freely from them. The glowing red eyes fixated him, like a predator closing on a helpless prey. The monster's chest was covered in fur that had a metallic gleam to it. And beneath the waist, it was half scorpion, with six scaley legs jutting out from the side. The massive tail with the venoumous tip swung round, and Zirem guessed the beast was eager to fight. Giant pincers covered in black plates made of the same armoured material as the bottom half of the beast snapped together, each coming from the back of the half-human creature.

The Otyugh growled, and, drool falling from its teeth, advanced. The armoured feet clicking on the ground, it dashed forward, so fast even the Volledae were nothing compared to this. The club of wood crashed downwards, splintering and breaking on the rock. Zirem pushed off the wall, the tip of his sword ready to pierce the monster. However, as he looked at the beast, a few stats appeared above its head: HP: 10 300, lvl: 79.

Since he was already pushing off, he went through with the movement, but the Otyugh spun with incredible speed. The pincer blocked his sword, and the sharp blade glanced off without even scratching the scale. Zirem flew backwards, crashing into the wall, before he moved back, out of the range of the monster. However, it wasn't there when he looked up.

A drop of green liquid splattered on the rocky floor. Slowly, Zirem turned. He coughed as a blow that took down his HP to 103/1255. Wincing and groaning, he rolled back until he hit the wall. The Otyugh scurried after him. Growling, Zirem got up, so close to the beast he could smell its horrible breath. The monster growled, and picked him up with its human hand. He squinted, and groaned again. Then he grasped his sword tighter than before, and stabbed the monster. It stumbled backward, losing 1675 HP from the hit.
