"Moon! What the heck did you do?"
A flaming angry boi flew past her head.
"I don't know?"
"Moon! How do you not know!"
"Blue! Just focus on calming down Charizard!"
"Shut it Red!"
Far away, an ace trainer was walking to the Battle Tree when he saw a big and long stream of flames blast out of the Tree. He spun in his heels and walked away. "Nope. Not today."
~~~
"Moon..."
"Give me a hot minute Blue." Moon panted. She was at the Battle Tree, training. Raichu needed to burn off all the Christmas Cookies that he ate. Out of all Moon's Pokemon (almost the whole Pokédex. Moon baked cookies for all of them), Raichu ate the most. So here they were training. Moon met up with her friends from Kanto, Red and Blue. With Red's Charizard and Pikachu, and Blue's Blastoise. Raichu dodged Blastoise's Hydro Pump, but the attack almost doused our Charizard's flame, angering it.
"Raichu was not at fault."
"Guys, chill. We are all fine so let's go back to training ok?" Red calmly said. Immediately, Blue calmed down and looked at his boyfriend (A/N: I ship it ok?)
"Raichu worked hard today so let's call it quits. I don't know about you lot, but I'm hungry." Red rarely talked in front of strangers, but grew up with the dude back in Pallet Town. So all was well.
"Ooh! There's a ball going on at Aether Paradise to celebrate 50 years of Pokemon Research. Anyone can come!" Moon exclaimed. Then her face dropped. Blue and Red looks at each other before looking at Moon.
"Moon?"
"I was supposed to be there 2 hours ago. I still have to dress up!"
"It's only 5:00 p.m. No big deal."
Moon's whole body drooped as if she was a pile of goop. "Oooh, you don't know about Lillie. She is a crazy fashionista. I'm supposed to be there so I can get ready for the ball at 8."
"Good luck. I'll plan your funeral.," Red said. "Blue? You plan the food and music."
Moon returned Raichu and got out her Gardevoir. "Teleport to Aether Paradise."
The minute Moon arrived, Lillie grabbed her arms and dragged her to one of the many rooms in the Aether Mansion. "You had one job! One job! Now I only have 3 hours to get you to look decent!"
And thus begins the 3 hours of torture. First, hair. Lillie pulled and brushed and twisted Moon's hair to a braid that adorns her head. The whole time Moon sat on a high chair, Lillie scolded her for her hygiene. "Did you condition your hair? Did you brush it more than 10 times?"
Moon grumbled. She did the basics. A two in one shampoo and conditioner, soap, and face wash. She puts on lotion to moisturize her skin and uses deodorant. She brushes her hair, but not ten times through. Arceus, it's already untangled. Why should she brush her hair an extra 7 times!?!
After hair was makeup. After make up was nails. After nails was the dress. After dress was the touch up and photo shoots. That was all done in 3 hours.
Moon looked for a mirror. She wasn't allowed to look at a mirror at all because due to experience, she would complain and ask to change a bunch of things. The minute that the photoshoots were over, Moon marched to a floor length mirror.
Staring back at Moon was an elegant lady. Her black hair was twisted into a braid while still having hair fall back in her neck. Her eyes were decorated with blue eyeshadow and eyeliner that made her eyes pop out. The skirt of her dress was midnight blue, like the sky as it turns into night. Small sequins and rhinestones adorned the skirt, sparkling in the light.
"This- this is me?" Moon raised her hand and the woman looking back at her raised her hand. A smile formed on her lips before a laugh was chuckled out. Lillie came behind her and smiled at Moon through the mirror.
"I wanted your dress to represent the night sky with you as the light that shines on everyone. You are the Moon. You are the champion. Your quest has not ended. Everyone's here.
"So we better be going. Let's go, Moon."
Moon's smile was wide as the vast sky. "Thank you, Lillie!"
Lillie and Moon walked to the elevator. The party was at the observatory floor, where people and Pokemon can party. Lillie boarded the elevator, but stopped Moon from stepping on. "I'll go first. You are the special guest after all. When the elevator goes down, board it, and it will bring you up."
Lillie rode the elevator to the waiting party. There, everyone clapped when she came into view. Working as co-president helped Lillie overcome her shyness. After all, this was not for her, but for the Pokemon. She brought out her partner Pokemon, Snowy the Alolan Ninetails. She walked to where Gladion and his Sylvally was. Gladion was holding two microphones and gave one to Lillie. "My my, Gladion wearing a suit? A white suit at that."
"Sh-shut up."
Lillie giggled before raising her microphone. "Welcome, everyone, to the Aether Gala. I'm Lillie Aether."
"And I'm Gladion Aether," Gladion said.
"And we're the Co-Presidents of Aether foundation," they said together. Everyone clapped and Pokemon cried out their roars. Lillie waited for everyone to quiet down before she spoke. "Thank you all for coming. This means a lot to not only us, but the Pokemon we are helping. Your donations will soon help not only the Pokemon in the Alola Region, but the Kanto and the Johto Region." Everyone clapped again. Gladion decided to speak.
"That's right. Our caring arms, hands, feet, and Pokemon will soon reach for others in the Kanto and Johto Region. While Team Rocket May have disbanded, Pokemon and people still have lived in fear and injury. We hope to extend our reach to the areas of darkness and shed light to the others. The Champions of the Regions have come to celebrate and honor our decision. They traveled to Alola to not only get stronger but to help the Pokemon here." Gladion waved a hand towards Red and Blue where they hung out by the chocolate fountain. Blue waved at everyone and Red just nodded his head.
"So let's celebrate!" Lillie cheered, raising her glass. "Tonight is the Aether Foundation's 50th anniversary of Pokemon research! And we brought a special guest. She helped Aether Foundation with Pokemon research and the recently discovered Ultra Beasts. While juggling the title of Champion and filling the Pokédex for research, she helped transfer Ultra Beasts that wrecked havoc in Alola because they were scared and lost. She returned them to their natural habitats and lost one of her closest Pokemon to a strong Ultra beast. Despite this fact, she continued to help out the Aether foundation and continue being the Alolan Champion to this date. And thanks to her donation of 10 million Pokedollars to the preservation and rescue of Pokemon, we extend our reach to the stars! Please welcome the Champion of Alola, Lady Champion Moon!"
And the elevator rose to show the world the Champion of Alola. Moon stood there with all the Pokemon that she brought with her: Primemarina, Alolan Raichu, shiny Eevee, Gardevoir, Tsareena, Arcanine, Toucannon, Mimikyu, and Alolan Sandslash. Moon released two more Pokemon where Necrozma and Lunala flew high above to roar out a hello.
This was the entrance of a Champion. This was the entrance of a legend.
The woman standing with her Pokemon opened her pink mouth. "Let the Aether Gala begin!"
