And the elevator rose to show the world the Champion of Alola. Moon stood there with all the Pokemon that she brought with her: Primemarina, Alolan Raichu, shiny Eevee, Gardevoir, Tsareena, Arcanine, Toucannon, Mimikyu, and Alolan Sandslash. Moon released two more Pokemon where Necrozma and Lunala flew high above to roar out a hello.
This was the entrance of a Champion. This was the entrance of a legend.
The woman standing with her Pokemon opened her pink mouth. "Let the Aether Gala begin!"
~~~
The gala went on for hours. The Champions and the Co-Presidents hung to each other like glue. They stayed in a small group, circling the room and talking to anyone willing to talk.
"They seem happy," Moon observes the Alolan Dancers teaching the guests how to dance. Lillie nodded. The boys have left them for the food table, where they were all going to pig out. Well, Blue's the one who's gonna pig out. The others are there to make sure he doesn't choke.
"Hey guys!" a voice greeted. Lillie and Moon turned around to see Hau run up to them. "Finally! You guys were to busy talking. You should go party!"
Moon glanced at Lillie. Her face was a magnificent red as she checked Hau out. He wasn't that bad, and he definitely cleaned up a bit. His usual ponytail was down and his black suit looked stunning. Of course his bow tie was orange.
Hau himself was looking at Lillie as well. Her curves were showcases nicely in her white mermaid dress. Lace covered her arms and shoulders before falling into white. Gold adorned her skirt with small music notes flying up the dress. It was a truly beautiful outfit.
Moon grinned. "You're right Hau. I'll wait for the boys to get back. Lillie you go on ahead. I can take care of any of the guests."
"Are you sure?" Moon made a shooing motion with her hands and winked at Lillie. At this point, Hau has snapped out of his gaze and taken Lillie's hand to drag her to the dance floor. Moon giggled at Lillie's frightened face.
"Where did Lillie go?" Moon didn't even have to look to know who it was.
"Hau."
"Ah." He handed her a glass of sparkling grape juice. They stood there for a while, watching the activities. Red and Blue were at the center of attention, arguing about who they should ride, Lunala or Necrozma.
"Do they know that they can ride both?"
"Nope."
Gladion looked down at Moon. Her face looked serene and jovial as she watched Blue shout into Red's face. He looked bored.
"I bet 20 pokedollars that Red provoked him on purpose," Gladion muttered. Moon heard him.
"I bet 100."
Suddenly, a voice boomed out. "Attention please! Please, for all who's who want to participate in the Pokemon Battle Tournament, come here!"
Moon looked at Gladion. His white tuxedo flared out behind him elegantly. The gold trimmings twinkled in the lowly lit sky. His tie was gold as well and the first few buttons of his shirt were unbuttoned. A gold chain hung around his hips, jiggling. "Are you goin to join? I battle last because some idiot said I would beat up everyone. Which I would."
"Oh you're on," Gladion smirked. He walked away, leaving Moon alone to ogle at his butt. It was a nice butt.
"Lady Champion? May I please escort you to the Champion's Chair?"
Moon followed the young lad to where a chair that wasn't there before tests. It was an ordinary chair. "Gladion? What kind of Champion chair is this?"
"The kind that you deserve!"
"Screw you!" Moon smiled before she looks over her subjects. 20 trainers look up at her, including Red, Blue, Hau, and Gladion.
"Here ye, here ye (A/N: my name is Samuel Seabury. Sorry I couldn't help it). Welcome to the Aether Foundation Pokemon Battle Tournament. The rules are simple. Beat your opponent, and move on.
"Let's have a nice and friendly battle between friends and rivals, shall we?" Moon glares at Blue and Red.
"Ready? Go!"
~~~A/N: I know it's short. I wanted to save the battle scenes for the next chapter.
