Mom and Jane were out, shopping. Apparently, dad had some things to attend to with a client, so he had to go to his office on a weekend. And Max—I really wasn't sure where he was or what he was up to.

I was in my room texting away on my phone, trying to balance my conversations with my best friend and my boyfriend.

Harris said that in front of everyone? Emma texted me with a shocking emoji and I replied her Yes again. She was asking over and over again just to clear her doubts. I was sure she must have heard everything that happened at the party after I left. She just needed to hear it all cone from me.

My phone rang and I checked to see it was Emma calling, I smiled as I swiped my thumb across the screen of my phone before placing it close to my ears.

"Did Kent actually... " I could sense the excitement in her voice when she began to speak but then I save her the stress of finishing up whatever she was about to say

"He was loud and clear when he said that he loves me and nothing or no one can change that..." It felt nice saying it than texting. I couldn't help but blush right after talking.

"OMG!!!" Emma squeaked out from the other side of the phone and my smile grew wider. It was like a dream come true, Kent declaring that he loved me in front of so many people from school.

I knew I'd probably get more enemies from that but I was sure Kent's love was worth it. I had never been so sure of anything in my entire life.

Few minutes later, Emma was pulling over in my driveway and running up to my room with excitement. Before I knew it, I was saying everything we talked about on the phone all over again. I told her how Tia pushed me into the pool like she knew I couldn't swim. Emma just kept saying she wished she was there. She was ready to mess with Tia.

I also told her how Tia couldn't handle the declaration and broke down in tears. Emma never felt bad for her for a moment. She thought it was good the she knew her place now.

Our conversation went on for a while until we decided to step out of the house. Emma was craving chocolate, so we had to go down to a store to get it. I thought she was at that time of the month.

To our surprise when we walked in, we met the only person we never thought we'd run into.

"Why does she have to be here this very moment?" Emma spat, giving Tia the deadly look that could kill if looks could actually kill someone.

She looked like she hadn't stopped crying since last night. Her hair were in place but not as usual. It was written all over her that she wasn't in a good mood. She loomed like a walking dead Barbie doll. I really didn't know the perfect word to describe her.

"My God! What happened to her?" Emma questioned between a suppressed laughter.

Her eyes shut up and I quickly looked away, pretending to be looking for something in the store.

"Huh...what is she doing?" Emma questioned and I looked up to see Tia walking towards us. I wanted to walk away but Emma stopped me. Emma really was ready to give her a piece of her mind.

Tia stopped in front of us, not moving or saying a word. I began to think what she was up to as she stared at I and Emma. It clicked to me that she was about to make a scene again which I really wasn't up for. I liked to be peaceful.

When I turned to leave she said. "I-I-I'm sorry" she stuttered and I froze. I and Emma looked at each other with a questioning look and then back at her. Maybe I heard that wrong. Could I and Emma have heard the words wrong at the same time? Hell no!
