The week had passed by so fast, almost coming to an end. It wasn't one of those weeks that I hated myself or everyone in it. Maybe a little

Everyday actually turned out pretty amazing. I didn't have to see people looking at me like I stole their oxygen or the reason why they existed.

Everyone knew their place already. And after Kent made it clear at the party the other night, they had to respect that. It was like whole new world right here.

Even the worse of them all, Tia now smiled at me whenever she saw me. She had been nice to me since that day at the store. She even stopped her friends from scowling at me or bullying me whenever they saw me.

Everything had changed. Tia had changed. Everyone had changed. People were nicer and I wished it could be as peaceful as this in the real world. But no, some people were so filled with bitterness and all we could do is avoid them just like I was trying my best to avoid the only person who still made me feel the world hated me.

He was looking at me the whole time as I walked by, I couldn't bring myself to look at him because he always looked at me with so much resentment.

Bryce. My racing heart whispered.

I could remember I couldn't look him in the eyes when I walked up to him to thank him for saving me from drowning at the party. He just kept staring at me, and when I tried to walk away, he told me to listen to what he had to say.

I could remember he said 'It doesn't change the fact that I hate you tho'

His words felt like a piercing knife, cutting deep through my heart. I had never felt anything stung like that before. His words really did stung me.

He really did hate me like I had always thought. I didn't know how we both got here but I would do anything to have the Bryce that I once knew again.

Why would someone who felt attracted to you one moment, suddenly hate you the next moment? Was I really that easy to hate?

I shouldn't be so bothered about this because it was just one person, but I had to be bothered because it was Bryce.

He was the boy who always made me smile everytime that I was with him. The guy who always ran into me on purpose just to talk to me. He was the boy....

"Hey princess!" Emma's voice called and I looked up to her smiling as adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder. "You almost bumped into me, what's on your mind?"

"Nothing" I was quick to reply her. "Just the stupid maths..." I lied since we had a math assignment to attend to after school.

"I should be bothered about maths, not you. I don't even know what to do with it unlike you... You're pretty good with everything Alex" she replied.

"Are you indirectly calling me a nerd?" I cocked my head to the side.

"What!" She exclaimed, feigning ignorance. "I would never call my best friend a nerd, hell no"

"The lies are written all over you" I said shaking my head and smiling.

"Can we just go and slay that maths right now..." she said as she pulled me along with her.

***

"Are you even listening to me?" I asked Emma who was typing away on her phone and smiling sheepishly.

We promised to get the maths assignment done today and we had not even been able to solve a problem since we got to Emma's house. She was only giving her phone all the attention. I wished she could just give the maths all the attention.
