"Like hell I'll take your advice." I scoffed, getting off the bed and tip toed towards the door. Placing my ear against the door, I listened closely for any footsteps, and did not hear any.

My fingers wrap around the door's old fashioned knob and slowly twist it open.

I haven't heard much about the werewolves from Mark since he was mainly only acquainted with the vampire species. Though, he did mention that they had enormous strength.

"Whew, got out safely." I let out a shaky breath and closed the door quietly behind me.

My room was actually towards the end of the hallway so to my left was a dead end and to my right was a walkway.

Walking silently thought the hallway, I noticed it was quite similar to the vampire castle I had been in, but again there were some differences.

In the vampire's castle, there were candles lighting up the pathway, but there were barely any light in this one.

"Geez...I hope I don't run into any of them in this darkness." I mumbled to myself.

Just then, as if I had jinxed myself, a few voices came from not too far ahead of me.

Alarmed, I instantly chose to enter a room closest to where I was currently, praying hard that it would be empty. When I managed to close the door softly, the same voices passed by at that moment.

"Close call..." I sighed in relieve.

"Close call?" A confused voice came from behind me and I jumped in surprise.

I gulped and slowly turned around to face whoever it was.

To my surprise, it was nothing like I expected. The boy before me had golden brown locks of hair and bangs that stopped right before his eyebrows, and a pair of large round eyes that looked at me with a pure gaze filled with curiosity.

Nothing came out from my throat as I tried to speak.

"Who are you, noona? I have never seen you before." He asked.

I blinked, unsure of what to reply.

"Wait...you don't have the same aura as the hyungs! Noona, could it be that...you're a human?!" His eyes sparkled with delight.

It was absolutely void of malice, I found myself instantly replying to his earlier question.

"I'm Hye In...and yes, I'm a human."

He smiles happily. "Really? That's so cool! I'm Chenle by the way, can you tell me how it's like in the surface?"

He looks at me expectantly, but then his face falls when he probably noticed my frown.

"Wait...Hye In noona? But why are you here?"

My lips quirked up into a small smile. "Chenle...I would tell you, but can you help me out?"

I asked. It wouldn't be too bad to get an ally.

"Help you, noona? Sure...with what?"

"I have to get out of this place right now. Can you tell me how I can get to the surface?"

"The surface?" Chenle's lips dipped into a sad frown. "I have no idea, I never went to the surface before."

"Oh..."

"I'm sorry, noona."

"No, no, it's not your fault. Well then, how about this? I'll stay here and tell you all about the surface, but can you keep me hidden from any of the other werewolves?"

His features brighten up. "Yes! Of course."

"Thank you, Chenle."
