Day 3, morning
"Hye In has been captured. By your kind." The three teenagers gathered around the kitchen counter, as Renjun started to explain about the situation.
"...Oh." Haechan simply mutters.
"Do you have knowledge on this?" I asked, glancing up at the brown haired boy before me.
He shakes his head. "Not at all. But Jun—"
He stopped dead in his tracks as he realised the words that slipped from his tongue. Jun was a nickname he used to call the vampire as.
"—No, I mean, Renjun, this is what you meant by you needed my help?"
"...Yes, Haechan."
To Renjun's surprise, the werewolf starts chuckling.
"I'm sorry. I can't help you."
He looked at the vampire with a grin.
Renjun felt both his jaw and fist clench reflexively.
This was not what he expected.
"What do you mean? You're going to let her potentially die in the presence of your father?" He seethed in anger.
"Renjun...why do you wish to save her?"
"What kind of question is—"
"Because she reminds you of Soojung." Haechan cuts the vampire off and answered.
Renjun's lips curved into a frown.
"You must understand, Renjun, that Hye In is not Soojung and she never will be. So what other reason do you have to save her? Don't tell me you like the girl."
His gaze remained solely on Renjun's.
"So what you're saying is, you won't help her because she isn't Soojung?" He snapped at him.
Haechan darted his eyes away. "No...that is not..."
Renjun scoffed in disbelief. "I can't believe Soojung ever chose you. If she were to see what kind of choices you were making now, what would she think?"
He flinched for a split second. "Don't use her against me."
"And Haechan," He glares up at him. "You must know that Hye In is the reincarnation of Soojung...and I know that they are two different people. Hye In may not be Soojung, but she is still a human that should not be involved in our mess. You should at least understand that."
Haechan pursed his lips.
"To help me or not, it's all up to you. But please,"
"Don't ever make history repeat itself."
