Liam was sleeping up against me on the plane.
Ugh... he said he would stay awake with me.
This is my first plane flight.
I hate heights and small spaces, which I was definitely get all of in here.
I checked my phone seeing it was only 8 p.m.
Ugh we have three more hours until we land in New York.
Mr. Bennet was still awake and looked over at me, "I believe you owe me five bucks."
I sighed, "I haven't heard anyone say we were cute yet."
Dang it. I shouldn't have taken this bet.
Mr. Bennet bet five dollars that sometime on this trip someone was going to say we were so cute together or something along those lines.
He chuckled, "The flight attendant said 'aw' when he looked at you two."
I laughed too, "Sorry that doesn't count... was it the hot one with black hair?"
Liam punched my arm, "You better not be checking out guys without me."
I just laughed again, "I thought you were asleep."
He sat up and rubbed his eyes, "I was until I heard you talking about the hot flight attendant... I am surprised you have a pretty good eye."
Mr. Bennet sighed, "Okay you two stop with the search for hot guys. I am already shipping you two and my ships are pretty sea worthy."
Liam smiled, "You don't have to worry about your ship sinking. Anyways, Dominic is gong to lose the bet."
I crossed my arms and glared at him, "Oh really? You traitor."
He smirked and gave me a quick kiss, "Yup. I am going to make it really hard for you to win."
Mr. Bennet was laughing, "Well I am going to get some sleep and you guys should too."
Liam instantly leaned back against me, "That sounds like an awesome plan."
Within minutes they were both asleep. The plane was quiet and I decided to stare out the window. It calm down a bit to see the lights below us. Everything was perfectly boxed in and glowing in gold and yellow.
This isn't that bad actually. I can handle plane flights.
I didn't realize I had fallen asleep until Liam was shaking me awake, "Hey, we are about to land."
I nodded and rubbed my eyes. I stretched out my sore muscles.
Plane seats are not comfy to sleep in... got it.
I looked out the window.
Those buildings are huge!
Liam laughed, "You get so shocked by the weirdest things. You don't travel much do you."
I laughed too, "Nope... It's cool to see something other than our small town."
We finally landed and all started getting off the plane. It took awhile to get our bags and instruments with the crowd of people everywhere but we finally left the airport.
There is so many people. Even this late at night.
Mr. Bennet looked at both of us, "Welcome to New York... It will be faster if we walk to the hotel. It should be down the street a ways."
Liam looked so happy as he bounce next to Mr. Bennet. We walked down the street for awhile and the crowds seemed to die down a bit more.
The lights on the buildings looked so pretty as we walked. Small flakes of snow began to flutter past us and onto the ground. It was getting colder but lucky we were use to the cold and had jackets on. The ground was becoming sparkly with the snow and lights.
You definitely don't see this back home.
Liam released the little kid in him and was jumping around everywhere. I could tell that Mr. Bennet was trying to be the sophisticated adult in this but he soon joined in jumping around through the snow.
I shook my head, "I didn't know I was going on a trip with two kids."
Mr. Bennet just laughed, "Hey when it comes to snow there is no way to act like an adult... Come on Dominic. It's fun!"
I shook my head again but Liam grabbed my hand, making me bounce around with him, "I hate you."
He just pulled my closer and kissed me, "You love it."
A couple walked passed us and I heard the girl say, "Aw."
Mr. Bennet smirked and I glared at him, "That does not count!"
He just chuckled, "Oh don't worry... there will be someone."
After about another five minutes we finally made it to the hotel. I was surprised how nice it was. Mr. Bennet unlocked the door for us, "Oh yeah... since we are here for the competition, they sort of gave us a suite."
Liam freaked out, "No way!"
He just smiled in response and pushed the door open.
This room was huge!
There was a main living area with a full kitchen. A small dinning area in the corner. Then two bedrooms with separate bathrooms.
Liam was running around the whole place like a kid in a candy shop. Mr. Bennet just walked into one of the bedrooms, "I claim this one!"
He threw his stuff down and laughed, "Try not to break anything Liam."
Liam just pulled me into the other bedroom. There was a bed and a TV. Then a walk in closet and the bathroom. One of the walls was made of windows that gave a beautiful view of the city below us.
I didn't really want to stand too close due to my fear of heights.
Liam threw himself onto the bed, "I can't believe we get to stay here for three days."
"Yup."
I began to unpack everything and Liam joined in unpacking his stuff too. Once everything was organized, we both flopped down onto the bed.
"Goodnight Dominic."
I wrapped my arms around him, "Night Liam."
We both fell asleep listening to the muffled sound of the city.
