Officer Jones wasn't sitting in his chair when I woke up the next morning.

He probably went back to work or his family.

There was a knock on the door then, Dr. Myers walked in, "Good morning. How are you doing? Are you in any pain?"

I shook my head, "No. Just the small soreness after being beaten up."

He chuckled but then sighed, "I brought someone to talk to you... Can you at least talk to her before refusing? It might help."

Ugh... he brought a therapist.

I sighed too, "Okay... I will give her a chance."

He smiled, "Okay, she is right outside. I will be back when you two are done."

He disappeared from the room right as a woman with long, black hair walked in. She looked kind and happy. She was probably around early thirties.

She bounced over with a smile, "Hi I am Marry. You are Dominic right?"

I nodded, "Yup."

She pulled up a chair next to my bed.

We talked about random things like orchestra and school. Thankfully, my brother and what happened never was brought up.

She stood up after about twenty minutes, "I am sorry. I have to get going. It was nice talking to you, Dominic."

I smiled, "Thank you for talking."

She smiled back, "Of course. Any time you need to talk. I am here."

I was discharged from the hospital two days later.

Officer Jones drove me home even though I could walk or ask Liam for a ride. He insisted that he was going to drive me.

As we pulled up to my house, he looked a over at me, "I am sorry this happened to you and the school is going to be looking at into it when you return tomorrow... Feel free to see me anytime you want."

I was about to jump out of the car but he stopped me, "I almost forgot. I got your glasses fixed for you."

I took them from him and smiled, "Thank you Officer Jones."

I jumped out of the car. My stepdad and my mom were waiting for me on the porch. He ran down and gave me a big hug, "Welcome home!"

He looked over at my mom, "I talked to her about letting you practice at home and having Liam over more. She said yes but it's going to take sometime before she will warms up to you again. When you ran off it made things worse... Anyways I saw Liam today and he is going to come over."

I laughed, "Sounds good but for now I think I will take a shower."

We all walked inside and I jumped into the shower.

I have always loved standing under the hot water but it was hard not to get my stitches wet. I quickly dried myself off and put on pajama bottoms with an old Guns and Roses t-shirt. I shuffled into my room and flopped onto my bed. With in minutes I drifted to sleep without even knowing it.

I felt someone poking at me and I slowly opened my eyes. My vision was blurry.

Ugh my glasses fell off somewhere.

I felt around next to me and my hand connected with them. I put them on and my vision was cleared up.

Liam flopped down next to me, "God you had two days of sleep in the hospital and when you finally come home you go right back to sleep."

He put his arm around me, pulling me closer and kissed my forehead, "I missed you."

"Me too."

We laid there for a while. He looked over at my pictures on the wall, "That's your brother right?"

He got up staring at the picture of my brother and me at the nationals. He was a playing a glossy black grand piano and I was with my old beat up, maple wood viola. "Yeah. We lost the competition so, he took me to afterwards to Cinnabon. My mom was so mad that we had sugar before dinner."

He looked over at the picture of last year's orchestra. He laughed, "Wow, I never thought I would be talking to you last year."

He pointed to me. My face in that picture was admiring his playing. "For some reason I thought I was better then you and that you didn't care about music. I hated you... then I realized you just needed someone to care about you."

I walked up behind him and gave a big hug. He turned around and smiled. His hand brushed through my hair then he put one of his hands on my stomach, where the bandage was, "It's all my fault. I should of..."

I grabbed his hand, "Stop blaming yourself. I love you and that's all I care about."

He kissed me, "Thanks... anyways your stepdad said dinner was done."

We ate diner with my parents and my mom was a little talkative. My stepdad still seemed not to like me ad Liam being together. He looked over at us every few minutes but I could tell he was trying to accept us.

At least we are making progress.

After dinner Liam left and I went back into my room, falling asleep.

The sound of a piano.

I opened my door and looked down the hallway to find the door the my brother's room cracked open.

The sound was coming from there.

I crept down the hall and opened the door. My mom was sitting at the piano trying to play something. "Mom?"

She looked over at me and tapped on the bench for me to sit down. I sat next to her, "I didn't know you played piano?"

She lifted her hands from the keys, "I used to play. For some reason I felt like it tonight."

I could tell she was crying. She put her hands on the keys again and began to play Love's Sorrow. It was beautiful just like my brother's playing. She looked over at me, "Why don't you get your viola and play with me?"

Her tears turned to blood, flowing from her eyes.

I got up from the bench, startled.

Everything turned blurry.

Mom?

She began to look like my brother, "I love you Dominic."

The music began to get louder and louder.

The bullies from school appeared and started to yell at me.

No! Not again!

I was on the ground and getting beat up.

Stop! Please stop!

The world was closing in around me.

I woke up.

What the hell just happened?

I was breathing heavy and grabbed my chest as if it would slow it down.

Why does every dream turn into a nightmare? What is wrong with me?
