Being able to learn all these defensive spells and practice them for real was al least the best way to pass time when I wasn't so angry at how Umbridge was running the school. As her teachings became more ridiculious Harry's became more sophasifted. He was teaching us spells and helping us to use them in a more effective way. He was really teaching us, showing us how to defend ourselves in ways that we need. As for Umbridge I couldn't say the same.
Again all of us had gathered for another training day and I was eager for today's lesson.
"Stunning is one of the most useful spells you have. Its sort of like a wizard's bread and butter really. So then come on Nigel. Give it your best shot". Harry addressed the short browned hair boy who I already had known from his shirt as a second year. He glanced over at me with a scared expression upon his face. I smiled at him and nodded.
"You got this". I whispered.
He sighed and aimed his wand at Harry on the other side of the room. He lifted his arm back the flicked his wand while shouting the imfamous stupefy spell. As the spell left his wand he was pushed backwards as was Harry when the spell hit him. Harry shot his head up and grinned at the boy.
"Not bad at all". He congratulated. "Well done, Nigel". Nigel smiled and disappeared back into the lines of people. I smiled over him and gave him a thumbs up as he smiled back.
The next two volunteers were up and as I looked over Ron and Heromie I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around I found the troublesome Weasly twins grinning down at me. I crossed my arms over my chest.
"How would you like to place a little bet?" Fred questioned me. I rasied an eyebrow at them.
"What kind of bet?" George gestured to his bother and Hermonie who were gearing up against each other.
"I wanger that Hermonie's going to put Ron on his ass". Fred smirked.
"And I think Ron's going to beat Hermonie here". George winked.
I sighed and shook my head. Clearly these two didn't know Hermonie as well as they thought.
"I'm with Fred on this one". Fred smiled and I high fived him. Hermonie was the smartest witch in this very room. If anyone was here was going to win at almost every mate it was Hermonie. And there was no way that I was going to bet against her. Ron and Hermonie took their positions on either sides of the room and ready their wands. Glancing over at Hermonie I flashed her a clever grin. She grinned back turning her gaze to Ron. Ron began to open his mouth but as I had predicted Hermonie already beat him to it.
"Stupefy!". Hermonie voice echoed through the room as Ron went flying back, landing hard against the ground. Smiling from ear to ear, Hermonie was circled by all the girls cheering her on. While Ron stood up and walked over to me, and his brothers. Looking up at George I smirked and laid out my hand. He groaned and handed both me and Fred a few gold coins.
"I let her do that". Ron mumbled to the three of us.
Placing my hands on my hips on I said,
"Sure you did, Ron?"
Ron rolled his eyes making me giggle.
"Its good manners isn't it".
Leo walked over to us and laid his elbow on Ron's shoulder.
"Better luck next time buddy". Ron shook his head and pulled away from Leo. Leo rolled his eyes and scoffed off after him. I just shrugged my shoulders at them as I glanced over at Harry who was staring blankly at me. I smiled politely at him as I made my way over to the group of girls, to congratulate Hermonie.

On our way to another day of D.A training we had noticed that Filch was hanging up another one of Umbridge's absurd rules.
"This ought to be good". Leo joked as we all glanced up at the new sign being hung up. I couldn't seem to make out what it said but I knew that wasn't going to be good. I clutched my sketchbook closer to me and Luna leaned in closer to the wall.
"All students will submit to questioning about suspected illicit activities". She read out loud. Luna glanced back behind me as the three of us hurried off.
"Do you think she knows?" She asked. I shook my head.
"I don't think so". I spoke honestly. Leo put both his hands on our shoulders.
"If that crow knew about the D.A she would have already punished us. She's not exactly subtle about how she handles things". Leo reminded us.
I let out a sigh of relief. Leo did have a point.
"Quite true". Luna said pricking back up.
"I just hope everyone knows to keep quiet about all this". I stated as the door appeared right out of the wall for us.
"I hope they do too". Leo said as it shut behind us. "Not just for our sakes, but for Harry's as well". I nodded my head in agreement as I looked over at Harry. The last thing we needed was for something to rat out Harry when all he was doing was trying to prepare us for what was really out there.
Instead of one on one battles today Harry wanted for us to try out individual/group lessons. He divided us up into groups and had us try out a few spells that we knew with ones that we didn't mixed in. I was paired up with Ginny and a third year student, named Grace. She seemed a little nervous about doing this so I decided to go first, making her feel more comfortable. Aiming my wand at the metal dementor I let out a breath I was holding back and flicked my wand.
"Stupefy". The metal dummy's wand flew straight out of its hand and landed on the opsoite side of the room. A few other students eyes shot over to me and they all gasped. I blushed a bit embarrassed and walked over to Luna's group to pick up my wand.
"That was brilliant, Cassie". Harry complemented as I returned to my room. Blushing again I smiled and watched as Ginny was up next.
"Think of it this way". Harry shouted as he walked around helping out all of us. "Every great wizard in history has started out as nothing more then what we are now. Students. If they can do it then well...so can we".

I had another scene with Cassie practicing in the army, but my computer decided to delete it all and it was so good and rewriting it I just wasn't feeling it so I just let it go.
