Finally Christmas had arrived and everyone was bursting with excitement. Including myself. It had been years since I had a proper family oriented Christmas and being welcomed by the Weasly's to celebrate with them at the orders meeting place thrilled me.
I woke up that morning to what sounded like a heated debate going on in the kitchen. Dressing in jeans and a warm sweater, that Molly had sent me to keep warm, I trotted down the stairs to find Harry nicely cleaned up leaning up against the wall. Just outside the kitchen. As he saw me round the corner, a smile erupted on his lips.
"Merry Christmas, Cassie". He greeted.
I smiled back at him this time showing my teeth.
"Merry Christmas to you too, harry". I said. "I didn't realize there was a dress code".
"I umm...well".
Harry fumbling with his words made me utter a laugh.
"Its fine Harry. Besides this suits you". I was never really good at flirting or any of that sort of thing, but I figured that there was no harm in trying. Harry scoffed playfully and smiled at me again as the door to the kitchen swung open.
"Merry Christmas you too". Sirius exclaimed with joy as he wrapped both his arms around me and Harry. The one thing I would say about Sirius was that he knew how to give the best hugs. Especially when he was in a cheerful mood, like today. Harry looked over at me with the same look that I was giving him and he just nodded.
"Merry Christmas to you as well, Sirius". Harry said smiling with joy up at his godfather. Having been released from Sirius's grip I felt myself being pulled into another hug, by the person who I was dearly hoping to be my uncle. Looking up at his scruffy facial hair I couldn't stop a few tears from leaking out of my eyes. I wrapped my arms tightly around him.
"Good to see you again, Cassandra". Remus said.
"I was so worried". I said wiping the tears from my eyes.
"I'm sorry for making you worry".
"You never returned any of my letters".
Remus bent down and placed both his hands on my shoulders.
"I know and for that I am truly sorry, but I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere for the next few weeks. I promise you". Harry placed his hand on my back.
"Im glad to hear that".
"Didn't I tell you knew he'd be okay".
I sighed.
"You did". Chuckling I glanced quickly at him, "And I appreacite it, Harry".
The rest of the Wealsy along with Hermonie finally got up sooner rather then later and Sirius had gathered all of us to the main living room. I settled myself on the sofa while Harry had decided to accompany me. Sitting this close to him was making my insides feel like butterflies flying away. I was so nervous and on edge, and yet calmed by his presence at the same time. I could already feel my cheeks turn red and I couldn't let him or anyone else see it. Trying my best to not think about it I turned my attention back to the gift giving.
The first one to hand out presents was Molly. She planted each one of us, including me and Hermonie a package into our laps. Opening it each one of us had recived another knitted sweater with our first intial on it. Taking in all the fine details I thanked Molly with a large grin. She clearly enjoyed her craft of knitting and I would glady welcome more of her craft if it meant warm comfy sweaters like the one I was wearing.
Next up was Sirius and I honestly had no idea what to expect from him. He wasn't much of a gift giver, but I knew that he must have wanted to give something special to his godson. What I didn't expect to happen was for him to hand me a package. Though it was small I had no idea what was going to be inside. I unwrapped the paper to find an old book inside. I glanced up at Sirius for him to make light of what this was.
"Tales of Beedle the Bard". I had heard of this book numerous times as a child, but I had never once read it. I wanted to though.
"It was your father's favorite". He smiled. Remus smiled as well.
"And mine as well". He added.
Smiling up at both of them I clutched the book close against my chest.
"Thank you. Both of you".
Remus shook his hand.
"Your mistaken, Cassie. This was Sirius's gift to you. I still have one to give you". Remus grinned pulling out a small black box from his jacket pocket. Then he nudged to forward and I took it in my hands. Lifting the lid up I gasped. Sitting ever so perfectly in the box was a silver raven pin.
"Its beautiful". I exclaimed.
"Your mother had one just like it when she was at Hogwarts. She had always found raven's to be such mysterious and strange creatures. And from what ive seen so do you".
"Thank you". I said as I pulled Remus into another hug. He wrapped his arm around me and planted a kiss on the top of my head.

Ahhh I love this scene and I just loving writing interactions with Cassie, Remus and Sirius together. There so fun to write about!
