Chapter 28: Caught in the act

Fear gripped onto me as the four of us raced up the ever changing stair cases. Close in proximity to harry i could feel the fear, worry and tension that crawled into him. He was just as scared as i was about what 'he' would to Sirius.
    "Harry are you sure?" Hermonie questioned him as we followed suit after Harry.
    "It's just like with Mr. Weasley. It's the very same door that I've dreaming about for months. And I couldn't remember where I've seen it before". Harry was clearly in a rush to get to where ever he was going.
    "Sirius said that Voldemort was after something. Something he didn't have last time. And I'm sure its in the department of Mysteries". Harry added barley catching his breath as my breathing was getting heavy.
    "Mate slow down". Ron stated as he glanced towards me. I nodded to Ron that i was fine.
     "What if Voldemort meant for you to see this". Hermonie stated. "What if he's only hurting Sirius to get to you?"
Hermonie had a point. Anyone could see just how important Sirius was to Harry. However, even still we couldn't risk Sirius getting hurt...or killed. At least I couldn't.
    "So what if he is?" Harry raised his voice. "I'm supposed to just let him die, Hermonie he's the only family i have left".
    "Harry's right". i spoke up eyeing them both. I knew that 'he' was clever, but i also knew that i wasnt about to let Sirius get hurt because we didnt act on Harry's vision. "Even if it's a trap, we cant risk Sirius getting....injured because we did nothing". Harry smiled at me slightly.
     "Its quite risky". Hermonie said glancing from Harry to me. I nodded my head. It was, but we had to do it.
    "Then what do we do?" Ron stated as harry bolted back up the stairs.
    "We need to use the floo network". He shouted back at the three of us. All three of us rushed up the steps after him as we then approached the entrance to the Gryffindor commons. A place that i was not allowed to go in.
     "Sorry, Cassie". Ron spoke as he stepped in. I shook my head and smiled. Hermonie nodded to me and followed him in. With them both gone, Harry then grabbed onto both my hands and leaned in.
     "Thank you for agreeing with me back there".
I shook my head. "You are right. though it will be risky, we cant let Sirius-"
Harry knew what i was going to say before I even said it. Neither of us wanted to suspect the worst, but with the dark lord involved anything was possible. i just hoped that we could get to him in time. The very thought of not having Sirius around...I couldn't even imagine it.
    "I know". Harry stated as i laid my head on my chest. "Which is why I'm asking you to stay here". Eyes widened i gazed up at him. I shook my head and leaned back.
    "Harry i wont i-"
Harry sighed. "Like Hermonie said this whole thing is going to be risky. dangerous even. I cant ask you to get involved. especially after you just got to meet all of us for the first time this year. especially when your all the Remus has left. I couldn't do that to him".
Shaking my head again i planted both my hands on Harry's cheeks. "The day i signed up, allowing you to teach me was the day i signed up to fight. No matter what". I reminded him. I was ready. I was ready to fight for what i loved. For what i wanted to protect.
   "Remus. The order they-"
I laid my forehead against his. "I'm going with you, Harry".
     "I'd listen to her, mate". Both of us turned to see Ron smirking at us. I jolted away from harry, cheeks erupting into red as did Harry's. Harry then sighed and nodded back to me.
   "Alright. Meet at Umbridge's office in twenty minutes".

    Meeting back up with the three of them at Umbridge's office I could sense that all of us were nervous and on edge. None of us wanted to get caught especially when Umbridge was already pissed beyond belief. And none of us wanted to see what she'd do when she found us here. My hands shaking just slightly as i pulled my hair back into a messy braid. Harry and the rest of us knelt down by the fireplace. Harry exchanged a look between us, then moved his eyes to Ron.
      "Make sure no one gets in". Ron nodded back to his best friend and moved out of the room. Rather Ron could keep them at bay i wasnt sure, but I knew that he'd fight like hell to try.
     "This is crazy". I uttered slipping my hand in Harry's. He nodded his head.
    "You can turn back now, Cassie-"
I shook my head at him. As did Hermonie. "I'm not going anywhere, Harry. I'm with you no matter what". Hermonie eyes firm nodded her full head of curls at us. Having her on my side made me smile.
Harry took out his wand and flicked it. Instantly the fireplace erupted in green flames. The snake like green lit the entire room up. The glow from it was rather beautiful.
    "Were in this together, Harry". Hermonie stated placing a hand on his shoulder.
   "That you are!"
