Forgive Me

CHAPTER 10

EREN'S POV

BEEP...BEEP...BEEP...BEEP...

  The constant noise of beeping was beginning to get on my nerves, I was getting a headache as I cracked open my eyes. A blinding light shown down making me recoil back down into my bed,"W-where am I?" I asked hoarsely. There was a clanking noise as if from a chair then someone grabbed my hand,"Eren!" She cried. I slowly looked over in the direction it came from and opened my eyes to see Hanji,"H-hanji?" I asked.

She smiled happily and cried,"Yeah! Its me! Oh Eren!!" She brought me into a hug and sobbed,"I thought we lost you!" She wept. Just then someone walked in the door,"Knock knock." They said softly. I looked over with horror,"Why are you here?" I asked. Hanji slowly let go of me with confusion,"Eren? Who are they?" She asked worriedly. I couldn't believe what I was seeing,"I asked you for two more months! What happened!?" I asked getting up quickly only to fall back down.

  Maria slowly walked up to the bed and looked at Hanji, she coughed, signaling her to leave but Hanji refused to move. She looked at me and I nodded, she nodded sadly and left but I could tell she was listening from the other end. Maria walked up closer and placed a hand on my check,"Your coming to America...tonight." She said sternly. My eyes widened and I gasped,"What!? Why!?" Her face stayed the same,"We don't need another accident happening to you. You will leave to go to America and we will properly change your name to Sage."

  I lowered my head and said,"We had a deal." She sat down on the bed next to me and said,"Yes but with your condition like this it only makes it harder for us." I looked up with tears in my eyes,"Please!! At least let me stay for tonight! Please let me say goodbye!" Her face softened and she spoke with a kind heart this time,"I never leave America for musicians I hope you know. But your a rare prize and I want you. We leave tomorrow morning and that's final."

With that she got up and left, along with two other men,"Be ready." They left the door open and all I saw was a crying Hanji,"E-eren? What are they talking about?" She asked. I tried to get up off of the bed but was pulled back by the IV in my arm,"Ahh!" I yelped. Hanji rushed over and laid me back down, once I was under the covers she looked me in the eyes,"What are they talking about Eren?" she asked.

  I thought for something to say,"Hanji...please understand." I said softly. Her eyes narrowed and asked,"When did you agree to go with them?!" I lowered my head and said,"When Levi struck me."         Her face softened and she said,"Levi made a mistake! Please don't hold it against him!" I shook my head and said,"I already forgave him...but..."

"No! No buts!" She screamed. My head shot up from her outburst,"Eren!! You can't do this!!!" Tears started forming in my eyes,"Dont you think I know that!!" I yelled back. She backed away some and I raised a hand to my mouth,"H-hanji...I-I didnt mean to snap at you." I said sadly. She shook her head rapidly and ran out,"Hanji!" I yelled. 

  I threw off my covers and ripped my IV out, cringing as it tore my skin and blood started pouring out. I ran out the door holding my arm when I saw Mikasa, Armin, and Jean holding Hanji,"Your leaving?" They asked. Armin noticed my hand and saw the blood from the IV being pulled out,"Eren! Your bleeding!" He gasped rushing over.

I moved away and said,"No! Don't touch it! I'm sick and tired of needles and bandages and people yelling at me!" I cried. I fell to my knees and held my head in my hands,"Why did this have to happen to me?" I cried. I felt soft arms wrap around my weak body and I looked up to see Mikasa,"Its ok Eren, we're here for you." She said softly.

I cried in her arms as the others slowly came and hugged meas well,"Take me to the music room please." I wept. They were silent for a moment but helped me up and we walked up the stairs to the music room, where I planned on creating a sorry gift. When we got there Hanji sat next to me on the bench of the piano,"Please use the recording gear to record this...I-I want to save it for..Levi." I said softly.
