CHAPTER 18

LEVI'S POV

That morning Mike came in with a surenge,"Levi, this will make you go to sleep in a couple of hours. Your breathing will be low enough Eren wont be able to tell the difference and I will set up the heart monitor to make it seem like you have passed. Are you sure you still want to do this?" He asked. I nodded hesitantly and said,"Its the only way." Mike sighed and grabbed my wrist, sticking the needle in and injecting the liquid into my veins.

  A couple of hours after that it was 10:00, Eren was tossing and turning in the bed. I placed a hand on his forehead and he let out a choked cry,"L-levi~." My heart stopped as I listened to him sleep talk,"I-I'm sorry~. P-please don't leave me~." Tears swelled up in my eyes and I retracted my hand and held my mouth shut. Sniffles escaped me and I woke Eren up, he raised a hand to his eyes and wiped away the tears that fell.

"L-levi?" He called. He turned and looked at me,"W-why are you crying?" He asked innocently. I removed my hand and wiped my tears away,"You shitty brat. I wasn't crying." I cursed. He sat up and placed a hand on my cheek,"Tell me...please.'' He whispered. I leaned my head into the soft warmth of his palm and cried,"I don't want to leave you." His eyes widened in horror,"Y-your leaving me?!" He choked. Tears fell faster as he clenched onto the bed for support,"Y-you cant do this to me Levi...I-I cant live without you." He whispered.

His hand fell from my face and he held it to his left eye, digging into his skin,"I'll be lost without you." He cried. I quickly snatched his hand away from his face and said,"Eren! Stop hurting yourself! It wont make anything better!" He pulled his hand away from mine and ran off the bed and to the wall,"But you dying will?!" He screamed. He fell to the floor and pulled at his hair,"I wont be able to make it." He sobbed. I tried to get up but the effects of the serum was starting to kick in. I clenched at my chest and began to fall.

  Eren looked up quickly and rushed to my side, he caught me in his arms and stared down at me in horror,"Levi? Levi?! Levi!!" He screamed shaking me. Mike rushed into the room and saw me in Eren's arms on the floor,"Eren. Move." He commanded. Eren's head whipped around in anger,"I'm not leaving him! I will never leave him!" Just then Hanji and Erwin stepped in and grabbed Eren under his arms,"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!" He screamed. I looked up sleepily as I watched him flail and kick his legs everywhere.

Everything seemed to be in slow motion as time passed. Eren's fit seemed to last longer than it really did, Erwin and Hanji seemed to be having a really hard time getting control over Eren when....when I saw Mike pull out a needle and was going to make Eren calm down when Hanji slapped it away,"Don't you dare." She hissed. She read my mind, I would have done the exact same thing. That made me happy and mad at the same time, what if Eren gets over me and...and gets with her.

  As she did that other nurses and doctors who were in on it rushed in and lifted me back onto the bed,"Mike! His heart!" One announced. My heart is fine but to the heart monitor it was going crazy. Eren, being in restraint, looked horrified. I watched him as I slowly closed my eyes,"Whats happening?! Whats happening to him!! Levi!!!!" He cried. Tears flowed down my face as I saw his tear stricken eyes. His once beautiful and lovable eyes. But now they are full of sorrow and anger.

Mike came over and mouthed,"Its time." I nodded softly so no one would notice, Hanji looked disappointed and Erwin looked concerned for Eren. As they held Eren back he cried and cried watching the heart monitor slowly and steadily decrease in a sign of life. Soon they released him and he pushed through the doctors to get to me, this time they didn't stop him. He fell to my chest as he soaked me in his tears,"Levi! Levi please! Please don't leave me! I...I love you! I love you, you hear me!" He cried holding my hand tightly.
