Not What It Looks Like

CHAPTER 8

EREN'S POV

I decided to go to Jean's room that night, I haven't seen nor talked to Levi since then and I was really starting to get worried. I walked up the hall and up a few stairs and found myself in front of Jean's door, I knocked a couple of times,"J-jean? H-hey its me...Eren. C-can I talk to you?" I asked through the door. I heard feet shuffle then the door opened,"Hey Eren, what do you wanna talk about?" He asked with a small smile.

 I gave a week smile back and said,"We need to talk, I'm having trouble with a friend and...and I don't know what to do." He nodded and opened the door all the way for me to enter. As I was walking through his room I looked around and saw manga, games, a desk with lots of paper, and a huge bean-bag in the middle of the room. Jean motioned towards it for me to take a seat and I did with a smile,"So~ who's this friend your having problems with?" Jean asked sitting on his bed.

I sighed and said,"Levi, you know the guy that walked in on us in the laundry room. Well he's been ignoring me for the past two days and I'm starting to get a little worried. I don't know what to do!" I lowered my head in my hands and felt so helpless, I didn't want Levi to be mad at me, I really don't. But some part of me is scared of him and I don't want anything to do with him. The room was filled with an awkward silence that I really didn't know how to fill.

 I was about to get up and leave when Jean said,"Talk to him yourself." I sat back down confused,"What do you mean?" He sighed and said,"If he doesn't talk to you then you go talk to him."I shook my head and said," But what if he doesn't listen!" Jean shook his head and said,"He'll listen, trust me. When he saw us in the position that was really just an accident, he seemed really hurt and angry."

I looked up at him with hope,"Are you sure?" I asked. He nodded and smiled,"Yes." I nodded happily and thanked him,"Now stop being such a downer and be happy!" He yelled throwing a pillow in my face. I fell back against the floor with 'Umph'. He started laughing hysterically and I rose and jumped at him. He ran from his bed and to the other side of the room laughing, I started chasing him around the room, throwing pillows and paper balls in all directions.

  We were out of breath and a sweaty mess from all of the running we didn't know where we were going. I accidentally tripped and fell, making him fall as well but what happened made it a whole lot worse. I fell on the bean-bag but Jean fell on top of me,"Ouch!" I gasped. He used his arms to prop himself up and he looked me in the eyes,"E-eren, I'm so sorry." He stuttered. I rolled my eyes and said,"Can you just get off of me?"

He chuckled and was about to move when the door opened at the one person who I would of never wanted to see me like this stood there in the doorway. He had a book in his hand and a look of hatred on his face,"I should have known." Levi hissed. I laid there, mouth open wide and tears almost forming in my eyes.

"No! Levi-senpai! Its not what it looks like!!" I yelled pushing Jean off of me. I scrambled to my feet in a hurry, falling to my knees as I got to the door,"Levi!" I screamed. He was walking down the hall at a fast pace, ignoring me. I slung the door out of my way, a loud bang coming from the wall,"Please!! Wait!!" I screamed. I saw shreds of paper fall from his hands as he turned a corner. I quickly swung around and grabbed him by his shoulder.

  I made one quick movement and turned him around but just I did a hard slap came across my face. I was shocked, L-levi....Levi struck me. I lifted a hand to my cheek and felt where every finger had an outline across my cheek. A tear rolled down the burning skin and I looked up to meet Levi's cold gaze,"L-levi..." I said softly. His expression was anger, hatred, sadness, and hurt,"Leave me alone Eren." He spat.
