A Lost Puppy And A Deal With The Devil

CHAPTER 12

EREN'S POV

 

It took us 8 hours to get to America, New York to be precise. Maria lives in New York but we wont be staying there, we're going to California. When the jet stopped Maria waved goodbye, but winked at me. I looked the other way ashamed and went back onto the jet,"Just get us to California." I hissed. Moretti was very confused at what Maria had just done but I didn't feel like explaining it to her so I just went to sleep.

  I didn't get any sleep last night so getting some shut eye would be best, that is if Hanji would stop calling me. I finally got sick and tired of her calling and answered,"Hello?!" I snapped. Hanji was quiet for a second then said,"Eren...we have a problem." My heart stopped and my breath hitched,"What?" I asked. She sighed and said,"We cant find Levi. He was here last night but isn't here anymore." I  jumped up from the bed in worry,"What do you mean he's not there anymore!?" I yelled.

Hanji was quiet for a second then said,"He's gone Eren! Did he call you?" I shook my head and said,"No! Hanji did he say anything to anyone about leaving?" There was a pause and she said,"He did say something about going after his dream." My eyes widened and I dropped the phone,"L-levi's coming after me?!" I gasped. I ran to my laptop and searched for any flights coming for America and saw one flight was scheduled to come here in 3 days.

I rushed back over to the phone and yelled,"Hanji!" She squealed and answered,"What?!" I took in a deep breath and said,"Make sure to have everyone on a plane to America in three days. Everyone. I know where Levi is going, he's coming to America. Get the money, I don't care how just make sure to get everyone here!" She gave an ok and we hung up. Moretti came in scared,"Whats with all the yelling?!" I walked up to her and said,"Levi's on his way."

  She was still and asked,"How?" I shrugged and said,"He's just coming. I need your help." She nodded and asked,"With what?" I looked down at the floor and said,"I need your help in teaching me how to play the guitar and helping me with a song." Her eyes widened and she smiled,"Of course Eren." I gave her a hug and we got to work.

The whole fly to California was spent in practice. Several instruments were placed in the jet just in case they had to go some where and needed practice. So we borrowed one of the company's guitars and got to work. Moretti knew how to play the guitar so she helped me,"So this is how you hold it and this is where you first place your fingers...ok?" She explained.

 I nodded and strummed the note,"Wow." I said amazed. She smiled and asked,"Why are you wanting to learn how to play the guitar?" I smiled and said,"I want to write a song for Levi." She smiled and we went back to the lesson,"Now place your fingers here and use the pick to strum this note." She said with a smile. I did as she said and it made me happy when it came out perfectly. Moretti wrote down the notes I wanted and I learned how to play them.

  Once we got to the airport in California it was the next morning. The song was half completed, we needed to finish the composition and then do the lyrics. We rushed to the limo waiting for us and raced to the company's building, not letting the sights distract us one bit. We worked on the song the whole time, wanting to complete it before it was time. 3 hours of driving got us to the company building, they took out bags in and we scrambled to get to the music room.

Once inside I called Maria,"Maria?" I asked. She hummed into the phone and asked,"What is it...Sage?" My head lowered and I asked,"Do you think you could schedule a small concert for me and Moretti this Saturday?" There was a little chuckle and she asked,"Eager are we? Well I can but I don't know I will." I pouted and said,"Please...I really need something to work out for me to be happy. Please Maria."
