A/N - So, I just had an idea for this book, people are probably not even reading anymore but oh well.

"Hey, Skul?" Valkyrie asked as the two drove back from the crime scene.
"Yes?"
"Where are we going?"
"Back to the sanctuary. China remade her library and I think we might be able to find something on Maldrake."
"Do you think she has anything on his type of magic as well, maybe he isn't a sorcerer, maybe he's like a warlock or something, or maybe he's using dark magic to sustain his life-form!"
"Val, have you been watching marvel films again? That sounds an awful lot like the ancient sorcerer from doctor strange."
"OK, the last idea was a bit far fetched but he could be some sort of ancient being, y'know, or maybe he's an ogre or something, do ogres have magic? Is there such thing as an ogre? If I was an ogre and I had a son, I would have to call him Shrek."
"What are you talking about? Look, we're here, maybe you can look for the magic he uses, I'll look for anything on Phineas."
"Deal, and I'm getting you to watch Shrek."
*Five hours later*
"Have you found anything yet Skulduggery?" Valkyrie shouted from across the library, earning her quite a few stares.
"Nope, have you?"
"Nah, but I think I'm close, mind you, every time I seem to get close, a few pages have been ripped out."
"What?"
"Yeah, every time I get to anything on soul magic, loads of pages have been ripped out. Look, this whole chapters missing!"
"Val, what part of you thought that was a coincidence?"
Valkyrie inhaled sharply, "Hey, Skul! I bet Maldrake checked all of these books out and ripped out the pages so no one else could master this skill! That way, he would be the only one who could do it!"
"The fact that it took you 5 hours to figure that out troubles me."
"Hey, I haven't done this in 5 years, cut me some slack."
"Fine, but come over here, we'll see if anyone checked all of these books out. Val, grab every book you have checked and bring them over here!"

A/N - So, what do you think? Not descriptive at all, I know, but I got a little carried away with the speech. Oops. It's not very long either. Do you want the chapters longer or is this an OK length? Comment and tell me, it would really help.
