Anyway...

"How many of you thought me and Val would end up together?" Skulduggery asked. Tanith, Saracen and Gracious, each put up one of their hands. "And the rest of you?"
"We just thought..." Donnegon began.
"That you wouldn't want to ruin your friendship." Ghastly finished.
"You guys think this is going to ruin our friendship?" Valkyrie asked, worry present in her voice.
"It wont ruin our friendship." Skulduggery reassured her.
"Yeah, me and Ghastly are going out, and it hasn't ruined our friendship." Tanith added.
"But it has changed quite a lot, Tanith" Ghastly stated. "Just think, if something goes wrong in your relationship, and I'm not saying it definitely will, or that it is more likely to happen to you two than to Tanith and me, which it is not, not that I'm saying it is likely to happen to me and Tanith," Ghastly rambled, looking at Tanith for reassurance, she gave him and understanding nod, telling him to continue, "but, like I said, if, for any reason, something does go wrong, which it might not, then, you end up breaking up, will you be able to look at each other, knowing all the things you did, all the things you felt?"
"All due respect, Ghastly, I don't think me and Valkyrie are going to jump into anything we are not ready for -"
"Isn't that what you are known for?" Asked Saracen.
"Ha Ha Ha, this is real laughter, can you tell?" Skulduggery said sarcastically, "Like I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted, me and Val, are not going to jump into anything we are not ready for, it's not like I'm proposing." The room went silent.
"Anyway... any new cases, I've only been gone a few years." Asked Valkyrie
"Yeah actually, I've got one here for you, Just to get you back into the swing of things."Ghastly announced
"Awesome, but I'm not too out of pract-" she cut herself off when she opened the file Ghastly had handed her. On the first page, there was a picture of a man, he seemed to be inside out, his organs scattered over the floor. Valkyrie thought she could just about see his eye ball on the side of the page. "Never mind, looks like you're just chucking me in by the ear, you coming on this one Skul?" Valkyrie asked, handing him the case file. He took one look before  swiftly closing the file again.
"As disgusting as that image was and how many nights it is going to haunt me for, do you really think I would miss out on an opportunity to work your first case in over 5 years with you?" And with that, the two said their good byes and headed to the Bentley, ready for the case.
