"Are you kidding me?! What is this?!" A boy cried out as he stared at his laptop screen, dumbfounded.
"Ugh, shut up!" Another voice rang out as a girl slammed the room door open and walked over next to the boy, almost tripping on some books that were strewn all over the floor on the way over. "What's going on?"
"I'll tell you what's going on! Some, douchebag, put this!" The boy pointed over at his computer screen. "On my laptop!"
Right there in the middle of the screen in bright red was a popup warning about how the laptop could be at risk as viruses, spyware, and malware could be installed onto his system without his knowledge. Below the text, was a button that said to "Install now!" to download some sort of software to prevent these viruses from occurring.
Obviously, though, clicking on the button would just lead to viruses being downloaded onto the laptop.
"Wow, loser." The girl commented sarcastically. "You got malware on your laptop, good job."
"It's not my fault, Akemi!" The boy protested. "Were you even listening? I said some douchebag sent it to me! Not my fault!"
"Uh, but, you opened it, Amano? So, it is?" Akemi countered. "Now you have to deal with it."
"Ugh, but I don't want to... can't you fix it?" Amano looked over at his twin with pleading eyes.
"No."
"UGH."
"Just close it and delete it, you dingus." Akemi sighed. They'd been at it for the past half an hour and so far, no luck.
"I've been trying to, stupid!" Amano retorted. "It's not closing! I told you we should just get a professional to fix it up for us!"
"No, we've got this. It's totally fine, watch." She shoved him away from the laptop, causing him to almost fall off of his chair. Amano shot a glare over towards her direction, but she merely ignored him. She clicking through all of the newly added popups on the screen, hoping to close them, but...
"WARNING! YOUR COMPUTER COULD BE AT RISK AS VIRUSES, SPYWARE, AND MALWARE-"
"We've got this, it's totally fine, watch." Amano mocked.
"Shut up!" Akemi growled as she shut the laptop off. There was a good few seconds of silence between the two of them.
"...okay so we should go find a professional."
"Uh, yeah? That's what I've been saying this entire time."
"Can it." Akemi pulled out her phone and started looking up any repair shops nearby.
Although the two twins lived in a fairly small, rural town, Akemi was fortunately able to locate a repair shop nearby. Unfortunately, for Amano, this meant that he had to go outside.
