The sound of wind rushing through blades of grass. The rustling of flying leaves as they brush against each other. The distant clopping of hooves.
"Wake up," a soft voice whispered. Akemi rubbed her eyes open to see two beautiful strangers in adventurer's garments. Their silver hair lightly floated with the gust. Most of all, they possessed this...extraordinary aura. Like the Goddess herself made them to grace these lands.
"You're awake now. Had a nice rest, Moros? Keres?"
Amano groggily stood up, trying to process his surroundings. Grass everywhere, no matter where he looked. A clear sky with birds soaring through the clouds. Tall trees scattered around. A blue mountain range pointing towards the sky. City walls just miles away.
"Where are we?" Akemi pursed her lips. "And who are you two?
"What do you mean?" the handsome stranger pulled her up. "Do you...not remember who you are?"
"...no? Are we...are we supposed to?"
The young woman sneered. "You're joking, right? After we bring you back to the Capital, we'll interrogate you to death's end!"
"Calm yourself!" her partner burst out. "And take it back. Ira's tongue is not tolerated on our lands, and you well know that."
"....Apologies. I...lost myself for a second there," she curtsied. "If I may be forgiven."
Akemi shook her head and shrugged. "Uh...sure?" Anything was better than a second death. "Who's Moros? And Keres? And where ARE we?"
"Like Sin and Virtue, the Twins have no recollection of the experiences. Interesting," he pulled back his long, white hair. "Name's Albus. This is my younger sister, Blanche."
"Nice to meet you," Amano yawned. "So? Are you two mercenaries or something? Hunting wild boars and all that?"
"Similar to that." Albus pulled out parchments containing unfamiliar script. "We're out on patrol, specifically looking for these...barbarians. They've been targeting merchants trying to reach the Capital, as well as refugees and travelers."
