Chapter 23: Memories

Kurosaki Hisoka's POV

I manage to wake up early. Tsuzuki and Mia are still asleep beside me. I sat up and went out of the bed to wash myself and prepare to work. Tsuzuki and Mia seems to be tired so I just let them sleep, I left a piece of paper saying:

"I'll be going first,meet up later at Chyugochou"

-Hisoka.

So I went out to go to work. On the way,I was thinking about Mia.

"She lost her memories...is it Muraki?...no,it must be that Frei person...what is his objective? why is he after Mia?...Maybe it's because of her special powers...but...why did Mia turn into Isanami when she lost her memories...and how come she still remembers Tsuzuki?...Does she still remember her old friends?...

Then I suddenly realize something. When Mia's memories turn into wings then scattered, half of her wing was still attached to her before it disappears...what does it mean?Maybe some memories of Mia are still within her...

I hurriedly went to Chyugochou told Tatsumi-san and the others what I just discovered. So after that, we decide to do some research and I also wait for Tsuzuki and Mia to come.

In Mia's World:

Normal POV

"We're here"Tomoyo said.

The three finally arrived at Mia's house. They went in and started to look for her.

"Mia-chan! Where are you?"Tomoyo called out.

Kokusai and Chiga approached her.

"Did you find her?"Tomoyo asked.

Kokusai shook his head."No,we look everywhere, she's not in the kitchen and even in the garden where she always plays..."

"Is there any place where she is always spending time alone?"Chiga asked.

"She never told me anything like that"Kokusai answered.

"I do, she always stay in her room...let's check it out..."Tomoyo said.

So they went up to Mia's room.When they open it, Mia wasn't in there but Kokusai notice the book and picked it up.

"What is this?"

"That book...that is where Mia-chan always write her dreams as shinigami"

"Shinigami?"Chiga asked.

"Hai..."

"But the book title is weird...it says"YAMI NO MATSUEI"

"Eh? that's weird...it was a different title when Mia-chan showed it to me"Tomoyo said.

Kokusai opens it and flipped throught it. Then he saw something that catches his attention.

He read."A girl from another world has now arrived in the world of shinigamis who are called "Yami no Matsuei"or "Descendants of darkness"...she met a shinigami named Tsuzuki Asato along with his partner Kurosaki Hisoka...what is this...?

"Then Mia could have been..."

"...sucked inside this book" the three said.

"What shall we do? How can we let Mia-chan out of here?"Kokusai asked.

"Please read the last page..."Tomoyo said.

"Why?"

"Mia-chan's story is different from what you just read...and the last line that I remember from that book is..."The girl who can cross dimension or something like that..."Tomoyo said as she tries to remember what was originally written in Mia's book.

"O-okay..."Kokusai said. "The girl's memories and turns to wings and scattered in different places...She turn into Isanami, the death goddess, but the girl turn back to her true form but remembers no one but Tsuzuki..."

"Her memories scattered?..."

"Then that must be the reason why Kokusai-san's wing mark glows and aches...it was responding on Mia's memories..."Chiga said.

"But how are we going to help Mia-chan out?"Kokusai asked.

"Wait...look!"Tomoyo point something on the back of the book."Something is written on it"

Kokusai turn the book around and read the words written on it.

"You cannot escape the book unless you found your true form..."

"What does it mean?"Chiga asked.

"I don't know...I'll try to communicate with Mia-chan..."Tomoyo said as she stood up.

"How?"

"I'll cast a spell...This book...I just realized that it is just a bridge to go to another dimension...Mia-chan didn't go into the book instead she went through it...and Since I can go to any dimensions...I'll try to locate Mia-chan..."

So Tomoyo prepared to cast a spell.Kokusai kept on reading the book. Then the book started to write itself.

"Woah!"Kokusai yelp in surprise."Look, there are words forming..."

"eh?"Chiga said in confusion.

Tomoyo then seem to realize something.

"Then...what is happening in the book...we can read it as the story goes on...Let's read it all then wait for the words to form again..."Tomoyo said.

"But...we need to read 12 pages,it's too many...I doubt if we can finish it early..."Chiga said.

Tomoyo then put her hands on the book and closed her eyes. After a few minutes, she was done.

"I read them all now..."

"Wow,that's amazing,Tomoyo-chan"Kokusai said.

Tomoyo then told them the story and now they are reading the words that are forming on the page right now.

Kokusai read." Hisoka realized that not all the girl's memories disappear so he went to Chyugochou and told the others what he discovered...meanwhile...the girl and Tsuzuki then finally woke up and prepare to leave the apartment...when they did...they didn't realize that a figure in a hood was stalking them..."...a figure in a hood?

Tomoyo continues."The girl then notice the figure and cling into Tsuzuki for protection for she was very frighten...frighten that someone..."

"...might hurt her again..."Kokusai, Chiga and Tomoyo said.The three look at each other,worried for no one but their friend...Mia.

"Mia-chan/Mia/Mia-chan"Tomoyo,Chiga and Kokusai said in their minds.

Meanwhile,With Mia and Tsuzuki:

Mia gasped and look up the sky.

"Did...someone just call my name?"

Then in another place,a girl was inside a glass pillar filled with water.Then two figures were beside it.

"It has finally began...the true bloody day".
