Chapter 22: The feathers of memories

Normal POV

Mia's World:

Kokusai and Tomoyo-chan both suddenly widen their eyes and gasped.

"N-nani...ima na...?Tomoyo asked as her eyes were widen in shocked.

"I felt like...something...something...disappears..."Kokusai said. His eyes are still widen in shocked too.

"Are you two alright?"Chiga asked in concerned.

Kokusai then suddenly held his chest in pain and collapsed on his knees.

"Kokusai-san!"

"Kokusai-san,daijoubu desu ka?"Tomoyo asked in concern.

Kokusai then showed his chest a little and he see that his Wing mark was glowing.

"Kokusai-san...what is that?

"I never told...you this Chiga...But...I made a contract...with Mia-chan..."Kokusai said weakly.

"contract? dou yo koto desu ka?"

Tomoyo explained."When Mia and Kokusai-san was attacked by a mysterious creature while they were on their way to our house,Kokusai-san got hurt pretty bad and was almost in the brink of death but Mia-chan heals him by offering some of her life force. In exchange, Kokusai-san must make a contract that he will keep Mia-chan's secret and never tell it to anyone but us or to the people who are trusworthy..."

"Mia-chan's secret?...Is she a shaman like yourself?"Chiga asked.

"No...Mia-chan...". Tomoyo took a deep breath. "Mia-chan...is not...human...she is the reincarnation of the death goddess Isanami"

Chiga is now in shocked. Tomoyo explain all to Chiga. She also said that her family knew Mia's secret and it's their job to protect Mia and keep her from harm. Kokusai also became her guardian when he made contract with her. It's his job to help Mia in anyway he can.Tomoyo and Kokusai was afraid that they must have made Chiga go shock since they rubbed a lot of unbelievable stuff in his face but Chiga accepts it all and asked them if he can help them out too,much to Tomoyo's and Kokusai's surprise. They agreed and they continue to search for Mia while Kokusai is getting scared for Mia...if his mark suddenly aches...maybe...something happen to Mia...

In the book:

Meanwhile, everyone was still in shocked. Mia...suddenly becomes Isanami,the death goddess.

"I-isanami?"

Isanami tilts her head weakly."hm?what's wrong?"

"Mia became Isanami...is it okay or shall we do something?"Watari asked.

"M-Mia-chan?"Tsuzuki said.

Then Isanami then suddenly fainted and collapse on the bed.Tsuzuki panics a little.

"Mia-chan!"

Mia then opens her eyes.

"Tsu-Tsuzuki...-onii-chan?"Mia asked weakly and sat up.

"Mia-chan,are you okay?"Tsuzuki asked as he held her close.

"ah...hai...".

Mia then gasp.

Tsuzuki asked."Dosta no?"

Mia clutches to Tsuzuki tightly looking scared.

"W-who are these people? are they gonna hurt me?"Mia asked, afraid. She was looking at the others while holding on to Tsuzuki.

"What happen to her?"Hisoka asked.

"Her memories of Tsuzuki-san didn't disappear but the rest of her memories of us must have lost...then...those feathers must be her memories..."Tatsumi observed.

"Tsuzuki-onii-chan,please don't let them hurt me!"Mia said as she hid her face in his chest.

"Mia-chan"Tsuzuki became very concern.Mia became a very different person that they knew.

"This is getting more difficult...and confusing..."Gushoshin said.

"Well we can't give up...we must help Mia-chan in anyway we can...she help us a lot...she's our precious girl...we must protect our little sister from those who are attempting to hurt her."Watari said.

"That's right, they consider Mia-chan as their family..."Tsuzuki thought as he held Mia.

"But what shall we do? she's afraid of us now and Tsuzuki-san is the only one she is comfortable with"Gushoshin said.

"I'll take care of her but for now...let's rest...we all been a lot and it's time for us to take a break..."Tsuzuki said.

"yeah..."

Then Tsuzuki and Hisoka took Mia to their apartment.Mia was still clinging to Tsuzuki.

"Mia-chan,you can sit by the bed,I'll go get you some clothes for you to change..."Tsuzuki left Mia with Hisoka.

Mia was afraid.Hisoka opens the window gently so that he wouldn't scared Mia more. Then one of Mia's ribbon got blown away by the wind but Hisoka manage to catch it. He slowly approached Mia. Mia attempt to hide her face with a pillow. Hisoka then held out the ribbon.

"Here"

Mia looks at Hisoka. She hesitate to get her ribbon for she was scared that he might hurt her. But she saw his eyes, they were full of concern.Mia then slowly reach out for his hand to get her ribbon and she succeed.

"um...t-thank you..."Mia said.

"You're welcome..."Hisoka keeps on staring at Mia with a concern look on his face.

Mia then asked him."um...who are you?"

"Hisoka...my name is Hisoka"

"H-Hisoka...-kun..."

Hisoka then tried to help Mia not became afraid of him. He reach out his hand.

"Please...don't be afraid...I am a friend"He said.

Mia then hesitantly reach for Hisoka's hand.Tsuzuki came back and he saw Hisoka trying to comfort Mia so he just watch them and wait.Mia manage to hold Hisoka's hand. She became less afraid of him now.

"N-nice...to meet you..."Mia said.

Tsuzuki then came and Mia change her clothes. Mia is wearing one of Tsuzuki's T-shirt and of course,it's a little big for her but Tsuzuki and Hisoka( even though he didn't admit it) think she is cute. Night came, after eating, Mia fell asleep.Hisoka and Tsuzuki was lying by her side.

"Why?...why is Mia-chan have to suffer like this?"Tsuzuki asked."She is just an innocent human..."

"He still consider her a human..."Hisoka thought."Even if she already proven thought not intentionally, that she is the death goddess...".

Hisoka just stayed quiet. Tsuzuki then held her to his chest.

"Oyasumi...Mia-chan"
