Chapter Eighteen

When the car stopped, Jungkook looked out the window to find a red carpet with a back drop on one side and a large pit of people with cameras on the other side.

Taehyung gets out of the car quickly and runs to open Jungkook's door for him.

"You brought me to a red carpet for our first date?" Jungkook asks, awed at the scene. Some of the most famous people from the country were there posing for the cameras in their most expensive tuxedos and dresses.

"Yeah. It'll ease the people into believing the engagement. Besides, I wanted to see this movie and happened to get invited. Jimin's in it."

"I really don't think I'm dressed appropriately, Tae." Jungkook says as the two near the carpet.

"What? A simple tux? You'll fit right in." Tae says with a million dollar smile that makes Jungkook blush a little.

I'm the one he's smiling for. What have I gotten myself into? Thinks to himself as the two step up to the famous carpet that wasn't as nice as Jungkook expected.

"Oh my God, who's that Taehyung?" One of the photographers asks and Taehyung just smiles, taking Jungkook's hand in his.

"Taehyung, over here!" A reporter calls and Taehyung happily obliges.

"So we noticed that you have a guest with you. Can you introduce us?" The reporter says into a microphone before pointing it at Taehyung.

"This is Jeon Jungkook, my boyfriend."

For a second, the reporter just blinks. Another gay couple? The reporter thinks. She couldn't believe it. It was like the gays were taking over.

"And how long have you two been dating?" The reporter asks, plastering on a fake smile and trying to hide the fact that she was literally scared of the two boys in front of her.

"We're not really sure. It just kinda happened. We only put labels on things for other people, but we don't need them."

"So who's the girl in the relationship?"

"Like I said, labels aren't for us. And the entire reason we're gay is because we don't like girls. So there isn't a 'girl', so to say, in our relationship. Besides, that's our business."

"Right, I didn't mean to intrude. So Taehyung, I heard one of your best friends is in this movie. Can you talk a little bit about that?"

"I'm really super excited for Jimin-hyung. This is his big break and with everything coming up in the next couple of months, I'm glad he finally got it. He's had a rough time with the polyamorous relationship and the public agreeing with it, but him and his boyfriends have stayed strong. I'm proud of them."

"Thank you but I'm afraid that's all the time we have today. Hope you enjoy the movie."

"Thank you." Taehyung says with a fake smile that drops the second Jungkook and Taehyung are out of the reporter's view.

"I can't believe she actually asked me all that. That interview was supposed to be about the movie. Not our relationship."

"I know, but you can't fume right now. Someone is destined to get a picture of it and blast it all over everywhere with false claims as to why you're mad. So just wrap your arm around my waist, stop frowning, and let's go inside." Jungkook says, directing Taehyung's hand to the younger's waist.

"Being scandalous are we?" Taehyung whispers deeply, causing a blush on Jungkook's cheeks.

"Taehyung-ah! Who's this?" A man with chocolate brown hair asks. The man was wearing a white button up shirt and black dress pants. The man standing with him that was wearing a red button up that wasn't buttoned all the way and a pair of black skinny jeans to pair with his jet black hair.

"This is Jungkook, my boyfriend. Kook, this is Taeyong and Chittaphon. They run TY Tracks down the road." Taehyung informs, shaking hands with Taeyong.

"You can call me Ten." The ravenette says, shaking Jungkook's hand.

"We should have dinner together." Taeyong says and Ten agrees.

"I'll talk to Jimin and see if you can tag along. You should be getting an invite to a little party on Saturday, from Jin-hyung." Taehyung says and Taeyong's eyebrows raise.

"Oh? Well you can bet we'll be there. It was nice talking to you two."

"You too, see you later hyung."

"Jin is sending out invites?"

"Our engagement party is going to be the biggest party of the year. Minus the wedding, of course."

"I definitely need to go shopping."

"You'll look good no matter what you wear, Kookie."

"Thanks, Tae."
