Our Business || Taekook {COMPLETED}

Chapter Fifteen

Torture. That's what Monday and Tuesday were.

Monday was torture because well it was freaking Monday. And also because now Jungkook was anticipating Wednesday. Hence why Tuesday was also torture.

"Jungkook-ah!" The said male hears as soon as he enters the office on Wednesday.

"Hello, Jin-hyung."

"How has your day been so far?"

"Nerve wracking."

"Oh come on, it's not that big of a deal. Wait, maybe it is. Okay, yeah, it's a bit of a big deal. But don't worry about it! I promise it's a good big deal!" Jin says, trying to encourage the other.

"Are you going to wait until Taehyung is here?" Namjoon asks, looking over the top of his reading glasses.

"Yeah, I think it's best if we tell them together."

"Me too."

"Wait, this has to do with Taehyung too?"

"No..." Jin and Namjoon say together just before the aforementioned male opens the door to the office.

"Okay, what did Jin say?" Taehyung asks Jungkook because of the awkward tension in the room.

"Oh just that my position here has something to do with you. And apparently this position is a really big deal." Jungkook answers.

"Okay, you need a break." Taehyung says, putting his hands on Jungkook's shoulders. "Listen, no matter what they tell us, it will be okay. You do still have the ability to opt out. It's not like you signed a legally binding contract."

Jungkook takes a deep breath with Taehyung's directions before the older turns the two towards the older two who were watching with heart eyes.

"We're going to take a short walk around the floor. You can tell us when we get back." Taehyung says, wrapping an arm around Jungkook's shoulders.

"Listen, I know they're telling you that this is a really super huge deal, but it probably isn't. You're probably just going to plan their honeymoon or something. But I promise that no matter what they tell you and how long you're in your current position, we're still gonna be friends. You are the only person I talk to that isn't related to me in some way or another. So when we get back in there, we're going to keep our heads high and our words strong."

"I just wish they would have put it in the add for the position."

"I know. But the way they're talking, this is something that needed to be a bit more personal. Not just some random person off the street that could clean up well and type good. And I think that, for whatever reason Jin hired you, you're a pretty good fit."

"Thanks Tae. You've been nothing but a good friend during all of this. Even though I was kind of being a brat back there."

"No need to thank me. You're just stressed, it happens to the best of them."

"You ready to find out what this is all about?"

"I am if you are."

"I don't think I'll ever be fully ready."

"Then we should probably get it over with now."

"That would be a good idea."

The two walk back to the office in silence even though the room around them was bustling with other people doing the things they were hired to do.

It just frustrated Jungkook that this position was such a high strung position that Jin had to get to know Jungkook before telling the younger what he was hired for.

And Taehyung was worried for Jungkook. Taehyung could see the amount of stress this position was causing Jungkook and it would be a lie to say it didn't hurt a little. He just wanted the younger to be happy and healthy.

"Ah, you're back!" Jin says, standing from his desk.

"Pull your chairs over here boys." Namjoon says in a caring voice, also pushing his chair to the center of the room.

"Now, I know this is stressing you because it's been stressing me watch you stress over this fiasco." Jin says, sitting in his own chair once it was facing the other three.

"The words that come out of my mouth following this are not words you thought you would ever hear but don't be fooled because you are, in fact, hearing them. I must remind you that you have the opportunity to bail on this proposal at any time but make sure that is a decision you really want to make."

"So without further adue, let me explain how your position is desperately needed in this company."

A/N: Ha ha, you have been fooled! Actually I'm just trying to stretch this out because I don't really know what comes after this revelation.

update before I publish this: I do know where it's going and it wilk have anywhere between 42 to 50 chapters. Maybe more honestly. In other words, this thing is getting long.
