Chapter Twenty-Four

"So what did we need to talk about?"

"Do you remember a Jeon Junghyun from highschool?" Junkook asks as the two sit down on the elder's couch.

"I think so. Is he your brother?"

"Yeah. And he... informed me of something and before I got all worked up about it, I wanted to talk about it with you."

"What'd he tell you?"

"A lot. He told me you implied you had sexual partners but never actually told the stories of the partners, it was always just how attractive said partners were. He was really worried that you we had already had, like, sex." Jungkook says.

"Okay, let me clear this up. I am pansexual but I went through a time when I was getting crushes on different classmates all the time. And yes, I did go on and on about how attractive they were but I promise I always liked them for their personalities first."

"I never said I believed him, Tae."

"Oh. Why was he worried if we had sex yet or not?"

"Because he doesn't want me getting hurt and he didn't want you to just be using me."

"Does he know the full story?"

"Yeah. But based off the way you acted in high school, I can see why he was worried. Don't worry, I got everything settled and he decided he is gonna go tomorrow. And he's bringing a date."

"Oh cool. Your brother and I weren't close but I'm glad he's happy and I'm intrigued to see who he brings."

"Are you ready?"

"For what?"

"Anything really. Tomorrow. The wedding. Whatever comes after that."

"I'm not sure yet."

"I think I'm slowly coming to terms with this ordeal and I don't think I have a problem with it."

"That's good."

"Very."

"Jungkook, save me." Taehyung says as he walks up to the younger, grabbing the back of his suite as Tae hides behind the younger.

"What did you do?"

"Nothing! I was just going to get us some drinks and I met your brother and he gave me the evil eye and started walking over to me with this look of pure hatred."

"That's sounds about right. Oh look! Here he comes."

"Will you protect me Kookie?" Tae asks and Jungkook's heart nearly melted. He felt needed and Goddamn he loved it. And even if the elder hadn't asked for it, Jungkook knew right then that he would have protected the older anyways.

"Always, Tae."

"Juancock!" A voice lets out and Jungkook looks in front of him to find Junghyun and who he assumes to be Ash.

Junghyun is wearing a navy suite with a white tshirt underneath the jacket. His hair was slicked back and Jungkook thought he saw a bit of eyeliner. Ash was wearing the same thing but in red. Their hair was past their shoulders but had also been slicked back. Ash was wearing a pair of white Doc Martens and Junghyun was wearing dress shoes.

"Ash, this is my brother, Jungkook, and his fiance, Taehyung. Taehyung, Jungkook, this my datefriend, Ash."

"I've heard so much about you." Jungkook says as he reaches to shake hands with Ash.

"Me too. Junghyun would not shut up about how excited he was for you last night." Ash says with a smile, showcasing a perfect set of teeth.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah. And he also talked a lot about Taehyung, too."

"Oh did he? I was under the impression he had a mini vendetta against Tae."

"I was convinced he hated my guts." Taehyung says, causing the other three to laugh.

"Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention?" A voice says that seems to echo through the room as it hushes.

"Thank you. I'd like to thank you all for coming. As you know, this is the engagement  party for my brother Taehyung and his now fiance, Jungkook. I'm assuming you all understand their situation but I have no doubt that they will go far and for as much as I have done for Kim Eateries, I'm sure Jungkook will do even more. I would like to point out that there is a full buffet and tables to your right if anyone is as hungry as I am. And there are also some mini-games to your left in case dancing isn't quite your thing. So please, if you have a chance, congratulate our boys and wish them the best of luck. Thank you." Jin says, keeping a tight arm around Namjoom's waist and a strong eye on Jungkook and Taehyung.

The four begin conversation again before two more couples join their group. Those two couples being Jin and Namjoon and Yoongi, Hoseok, and Jimin.

It seemed like everyone at the party had congratulated the couple and by the time the party was over, they were exhausted of hearing those words.

A/N: This chapter actually sucks. But like I need to know if you guys are down for smut or not. I'm at my grandparents house and you know what that means? Swimming. First swim of the year, heck yeah bois. I actually feel really confident in my bathing suite this year even though I've had it for three years. Anygays, hope you have a good week!
