Chapter Twenty-Two

"That puts us at 126 invites and if everyone shows up, that'll be 130 people. That's excluding plus ones and self-invited press." Jin says as he looks over the list of Jungkook's invites.

"So there could easily be 200 people there, couldn't there?" Namjoon asks, still typing away at his computer.

"Yeah. Which means, if we invite all these same people and maybe a few more... This whole thing is going to be huge."

"That's for sure." Jungkook says, letting out a big huff of air.

"Wait, you actually wanted to do a big wedding?" Taehyung asks.

"Kinda. But if you don't want to, then there are some people I could cut off the list-"

"No, no, no. I just wanted to make sure you were okay with that much attention on you at one time."

"Here's the thing about that... um, it might be live broadcasted across the country, maybe even the world. But you know, that's different because they're not all right there in front of you."

"What do you mean it might be live broadcasted?"

"I mean that there is a chance that this wedding will be pegged the wedding of the century and if that is true then someone is going to want to broadcast it. Or at least record it for later viewing."

"Why me? Why does my marriage have to be the one with so much pressure?" Jungkook asks himself.

"Hey, Kookie. Don't worry about it. We could do a strict, invite only, kick all press out. It's up to you how this goes down."

"I think I'm going to wait until after Jimin's wedding to nail down specifics." Jungkook says, furiously typing at the keyboard. It's a stress reliever of his.

"Wait, when did you and Jimin get so close?"

"We exchanged numbers at their engagement party so we've had minor conversations since then."

"That's good. I want you to approve of my friends. Because if it was the other way around then it would be defeating the purpose of putting all of my attention-"

"Tae, we get it."

It was nine thirteen when Jungkook's phone rang that night. He checked the caller ID and it was his brother.

"Hey hy-"

"What the hell is this Jungkook?"

"What is what, hyung?"

"Don't play stupid. I just got an invitation to your engagement party with Kim Taehyung."

"You make it sound like he was a playboy, hyung. And how do you know Tae?"

"Oh, so now you're calling him Tae? That's disrespectful, Jungkook."

"It seems as if you have a lot of questions-"

"You sound like a service hotline operator trying to keep angry customers calm."

"I'm sorry hyung. How about we go get lunch tomorrow, my treat, and I'll catch you up on everything." Jungkook suggests, yawning as quietly as possible.

"You promise?"

"Pinky promise."

"Okay then. I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Bye hyung."

"Bye Jungkook."

"Time for lunch guys." Namjoon says, standing up and stretching.

"Where to today?" Taehyung asks.

"I was thinking about this shawarma joint down the road."

"What are we, the Avengers?"

"Might as well be. Is shawarma okay with you Kook?" Taehyung asks.

"Actually, I'm getting lunch with my brother today. He is a bit upset with me so I'm going to settle everything and prove to him that you aren't the playboy he believes you are." Jungkook says, pulling on his coat.

"Okay, have fun and text me when you're done."

"Will do." Jungkook says before walking out of the office.

Jungkook walks down the street a block or two and finds a cafe he knows all too well. It's where he took his first and only girlfriend. It's where he came out to his brother. It's where he found the add for his current job. It's funny how life works sometimes.

"Jungkook." Junghyun says to catch the attention of the younger.

"Hey." Jungkook says, sliding into the booth towards the back of the cafe.

"Hey."

"So what do you want to know first?"

"For starters, I want to know when you and Taehyung started dating."

"Wednesday."

"Seriously? And you're already engaged?"

"You need to hear the full story hyung."

"Well feel free to fill me in."

Jungkook takes a deep breath and explains the past three weeks in complete depth to his older brother who just sits and listens.

I planned on putting up Dionysus next but since it's on Webnovel, I probably won't put it up here, meaning I need another book to put up here and I don't have any other ideas. Plus I keep getting one shot ideas.
