Chapter 2: Setting Off on a Mission

The group of four was currently waiting at the train station. "I don't wanna do this anymore!" Nashi said, almost barfing at just the sight of the train. "You could always walk if you like." Gale joked. "That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. Maybe I should do that." Nashi replied. "No. That would take forever. The train would be a much faster route." Reiki joins into the conversation. "C'mon Nashi, it'll only be a few hours." Storm said. "Sure, only a few hours of me puking my guts out." Nashi said. Then, the train came to a stop and the door opened. "On we go." Reiki said. Everyone started moving, expect Nashi. "Let's go Nashi." Plum said. Nashi just shook her head. "Nope. I'll walk."she started to walk the opposite direction but was soon yanked onto the train by a certain red head. As soon as her feet stepped onto the train, it was complete hell.

6 hours later

"It'll only be a few hours, he said." Nashi mocked. "That was more like a few months." Finally they were on solid ground. Nashi was feeling slightly better but not completely yet. "I'm hungry." Plum announces. "Me too." Nashi agrees. "How can you eat after puking non stop for a whole train ride." Storm said. "Transportation can take away my will to live, but it will never take away my desire for food." Nashi replies. "I suppose a food break wouldn't cause any harm." Reiki says. "You only say that cause you wanna get strawberry cake." Plum said. "I- uh... that's not a crime okay cat!" Reiki defended. "There's the town!" Plum pointed. "The town of Hargeon." Gale added. "This is where my parents met." Nashi said quietly, still everyone heard. It got a little quiet. "Let's go get some food!" Nashi said and took off towards the town. "Aye!" Plum then flew after her.

Inside some restaurant

"You guys are such pigs." Storm said as a chicken wing flew past his face. "That's an insult to pigs." Gale joked. Causing them to all chuckle. "It'd be great if we could enjoy this yummy meal without judgment please." Plum said. "As long as food isn't sent flying at my face, I'm judge free." Storm said. "Ahhh!" Everyone's head snapped towards where the scream came from, Reiki. "This. Cake. Is. Amazing!" He exclaimed. Everyone else sweat dropped.

Once everyone was done eating, they decided to discuss the job a bit more. "What's the plan? How are we gonna take this demon thing down?" Storm asked. "Simple. We beat it to a pulp." Nashi answered. "There's more to it then just beating it up Nashi. We need to know how. It also would be great if we could gather information on it." Reiki said. "Why information?" Plum asked. "Because, this demon isn't the only one. Sure it's the first to attack and cause damage. But since there's others out there, we need to be prepared." Reiki explained. "Fine. We beat it up a little, get information and then we beat it some more." Nashi said. Everyone face palmed. "I say, we ask around town. See what people here know about it." Storm suggested. "That's a good idea. Let's do that." Reiki said.

After asking around town a bit, they decided to meet up to discuss. "Get any important information?" Reiki asked. "All I got was someone saying it usually isn't out in the day time." Gale said. "Hmm, yes I got that too." Reiki says. "Yeah that's basically what everyone I asked said. But one person told me it's not a big fan ice." Storm added. "Sounds like the perfect job for you Storm." Plum said. "Aw man. No fair, you're gonna get to have all the fun." Nashi pouted. Storm chuckled, he found her pout adorable.

"I say we wait til it gets dark out and then Storm will do as much damage to it as he can. Once the demon is weakened by his ice, we can all attack." Reiki explains. "If he doesn't like ice, doesn't that mean he'll be rather fond of Nashi's fire?" Plum asked. "Hmm." Reiki started thinking. "That's true. Maybe Nashi should stay out of this." Reiki said. "Hey! No way! I rode on a train for six hours to fight a demon, so I'm gonna fight that damn demon!" Nashi exclaimed. This earned him a bonk on the head by the red haired boy. "Ouch." She said as she laid face first on the ground. "Fine, you can fight. But, if the fire begins to help the demon in any way, shape or form. You will quit. Understood?" Reiki asked, although it wasn't really much of a question. More like a command. "Yes sir." Nashi jumped up in excitement.

"What time is it?" Reiki asked. "Around six pm." Gale answered. Sigh. "So now we wait. It should get dark around seven-thirty, maybe eight." Reiki said. Everyone nodded.
And thus, the waiting began.
